Eeeek! Ripping off duct tape would stretch them out more than breastfeeding! Speaking of...my daughter turned 7 the other day so I got sentimental and watched the video tapes of her birth (just before and just after...not the OR part). Heavens to Betsy! Just HOW big can boobs get?! I amazed my own self at the size of those big mommas! Kill the thread yet?:heh:

Kim, for some reason I have been thinking that our lunch get-together was this Sat...huge brain fart...sorry! I have 2 small bags with 3yo clothes (sizes 4-5) and I think I can drum up a few shoes. I don't want to send junky stuff. Put little boys always need play clothes and shoes! There are some jeans and 1 pair of kahki pants in the bag. Anyhow, I need to figure out how to get these things to you...lemme brew... Melissa, could I meet you somewhere before you drop off at Kim's work? That'd be handy. I-85 somewhere?

TheBestMe - J 179.2 / C 178.4 / G 165 (-.6 this week) Hang in there Pnut. You have time to make all the emotional adjustments to banded life, and to your newer life as the weight comes off. Give it a second. It will be okay. ((((hugs)))) -
Jill, I'm outing you from lurk status. You simply MUST post! Now way could you kill a thread. Not THIS thread anyway. LOL Yummmm, black bean salad. Who wants the recipe? Guess what's in it?....CHEESE!!!!

Do you have Norton Antivirus or something like it? If so, do an update. If you have Windows, you can also do a Windows update. ??? I have no business answering this thread since I am NOT an expert, but it is good to see you posting! Hey!

edie, I get the digests, too. You have to dig around in the web site to find where to change it, but it changes really quickly, then you'll get each of the e-mails bunched on one nice neat package once a day, maybe twice if they add on something. I just kind of run a day behind if I follow their schedule. Which I don't manage to do very often. It really helps me to focus, though. I find myself saying "just the middles" and "I don't love it" all the time as I clean and toss. Tell me if you hav eany trouble changing it, I'll see what I can find out. Now, go get those hot spots! LOL

Kim, what size shoe does the little boy wear?

Melissa, YES! Get a small unfill!!!!! You NEED to eat, your band being too tight can cause esophogus problems in the long term (low motility, I think they call it) and being too tight is all around wrong! Oh puleeeeeze get a small unfill and go eat you a big ole salad and a big ole bowl of Pasta. Eat a damn cheeseburger! I'm serious. Stick your hand out, now lemme smack it...there...now get that unfill. Be happy! Bandsters aren't supposed to starve their bodies of nutrition. Bandsters aren't supposed to get stuck on everything we eat and drinking hot coffee before a meal to open things up should only be a temporary thing, like maybe at that TOM. Not for months and months. Okay, that's it. You need an unfill. Talk to the hand...nope, I don't wanna hear it. You go get happy first.

What?! Spudboy and Sky have a little one? Do I have that right? Oh, Crystal, you just have to post a pic! I had no idea, congrats!!!!!

Haaaahahahahaha!!!! How funny! And good for you! VQ, you blow my mind.

I'd hardly call those thunder thighs. And your arms are not chunky. You look wonderful!!!! I watch those PS shows and these women come in wanting work done to "perfect" themselves. I am under no delusions that my impending TT will get rid of my inner thigh fat (although I'm hoping for a small amount of "lift" there...are you finding your inner thighs tightened at ALL?) nor will it rid me of stretch marks. But just to have all my belly gone will be sooo nice. I don't like how I look in clothes right now. That's all I really want to accomplish with my TT. Clothes that fit. I'll never be a size 8 like you...my butt and thighs are waaay big...but you have inspired me to lose more than just another 10 pounds before pursuing it. When my tummy looks like yours just before your TT, I'll do it. Right now it isn't flappy enough. I need to lose more. Thanks again for the pics. You really do look great!

DeWok, was your fill under flouro? Anyone who knows...can you see your tubing under flouro? My fills have all been non-flouro. I'd get some more answers before going under again. Make SURE it's a kink. They can add color (I think) to the saline Fluid so it can be seen, I'm pretty sure they do this when looking for leaks. My second fill, the doc went to pull the saline out from the first fill to be sure it was still there (all fills should be this way, as you know) and he couldn't get but a small amount out, there just wasn't enough draw from the syringe. So he had me "do a crunch" on the table. I tightened my abs, as if I were going to do a sit-up, and held my breath, this put pressure on my diaphragm (I guess) and forced the saline from inside my band, into the tubing, and he was able to draw out my entire first fill. Just info for you to consider. Fixing a kink is pretty simple, I'd agree, but it's a surgical procedure, so if you can avoid it, I certainly would! Hoping some of your "kinked" friends show up here...good luck!

Kim, I'm pretty sure I can come up with some 32 men's shorts/pants and some large shirts. I'll dig through the little boys and look for 4-5 stuff. If I don't have any, my next door neighbor may. It may not be a big bag but it's something. I'll do my best.

You can always PM me. Anyone can. Although I admit the last "batch" of PMs I got, I kept getting lost about who I was talking to...I couldn't remember who I told what, who they were...OY! So I just PMd everyone and said "who are you and what was your question?!!!! ooops!" and I think I got it all. It's really hard to keep up when the PM box gets busy. I appreciate it when PMers leave the old quotes in the message so I can easily reference the conversation. Especially when it goes back and forth alot. I have learned to appreciate that feature. So if I ever forget you, please bug me. I don't ignore folks who have honest questions or need info. I don't think I have ever gotten a nasty PM. Do I not O-ffend?! (in my best Ferris Beuller) so I guess that's a good thing. So, was all that a thread killer?

Huh? Anywhere near Charlotte, NC? I'm keeping up with your saga, and i'm anxious to find out what happens next! Keep us updated.

1 avocado, fruit without skin and seed: 26.7g Fat 14.9 Carbs 11.8 Fiber 3.4 Protien amazing percentages on the various Vitamins and minerals. It really is a good food. Too bad the chips are so yummy with it. Hey, Mandy, we can lose the chips and slice it up onto a small salad? It's yummy. But, oh, chips and guac. Pure taste of Heaven, I say!

Me, too. AND Guacamole. Do you all realize just how much fat is in guacamole?! I keep tellling myself, "it's GOOD fat!" still...:heh:

Gone For Good Club- August 2006

Paul, and anyone else interested...here's a great thread with interesting perspectives from "older" bandsters regarding restriction. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=22437 I think sometimes we get to relying too much on good restriction, and not enough on the fact that our bands keep us form eating too much too fast, and our good sense needs to direct our intake, not our tight bands. We look for our bands to tell us when to stop, in the beginning, but it's important to learn how much food is "normal" (since we obviously have a skewed view of this) and simply allow our bands to keep our heads in check. Whether or not to get another fill has been a big question for me lately (okay, for the last 6 months!) and I have resolved NOT to get another fill. EVER. Since logging my food for the past month on sparkpeople, losing a mere 3.5 pounds but 4.5 inches with virtually no real exercise...I think it's time for me to grab this bull by the horns and do this without any more saline. I have 33 pounds to go. I'm only 10 pounds from wedding weight. Hope the link helps you. I have found it helpful, especially since I want to avoid long-term problems, as I'm sure you do as well. You look GREAT. Looking forward to your unfill update.
