You mean the Lounge, right? hehe Here's the link... http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=11147 Merry Christmas everyone!!! -
Heh, to be so lucky. sigh. I just don't know how to get you to gain. Your metabolism is obviously working really well. What you eat, you burn off naturally. Your body gets what it needs. Good for you! Keep up with the vitamins. Also, check out www.room42.com and it has info about how to gain weight after you punch in your height, weight, etc. That might give you some ideas. Good luck! Can't wait to see Nikkee's updated pics!

Oh yeah! Glad you got scheduled. He'll fix you right up, no worries. Yay, restriction! He's a hoot, is he not?

DAWG! I am SOOOOOO in the dust here! Stuck between 193 and 195. Up, down, up, down. Even had a fill a few weeks ago. I feel more restricted but, I dunno. Trying to be patient. Don't forget your nutritional plan...I wanna see!!!! Ugh. I'm so jealous. Fire me up, girl. Maybe I just need some mad FIRE to get this weight off!!! LOL Can't wait to see everyone. I told hubby I should be back by 1:30, which means leaving Ruby Tuesday's by 1pm. I cant' stay all day, but I need to beg off at least another 1/2 hour, right? So many new folks! I wonder if we can have our own corner of the restaurant, rather than that aisle table? We have a big group this time! Is Angela coming? -
Welcome Barbara! Click on anyone's Ticker picture and it will take you to the website where you can pick your ticker. You make it however you want, but it usually measures the weight...20 pounds gone, 80 to go...that type of thing. Great NSVs!!! You should stay on mushies until your doc tells you to move to more solid foods. And mushie foods are foods to avoid once you are past the healing phase (6 weeks or so). You get fuller faster and stay fuller longer on well-chewed solid protiens and veggies, with no liquids during your meal and for about an hour after. I still eat some mushies though. Guacamole...yummy. Anyhow, follow your doc's diet plan. And yes, try to drink your 64 ounces of Water but you were only banded a week ago?!! Hello! Take your time getting up to 64 ounces a day. Drink as much as you can and make that water a big priority, but if it's not up there yet, it will be later. Take it easy! hehe. Glad you are having a great recovery. Welcome to LBT!

Go get 'em, girl!!! You have to try or you will always wonder if you could have, ya know? As long as you try you will have fewer regrets. If it all goes through and you are ready to go, you can STILL back out but it was YOUR choice, not some bad timing deal-io that made your decision. Move!!! Let us know how it goes.

the best me replied to ladysplenda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
PamRN you are so handy! You answered all my questions, thanks! Ladysplenda, maybe you should go ahead and get your band, now that it's approved, and be a few months ahead of the learning curve for your daughter. Don't wait! You have a beautiful daughter. I hope she gets it all straightened out and is able to live a long and healthy life with a strong heart! Losing weight will sure be a big help to her. (((((hugs))))) -
Hey You! You are the one who gave me my pretty signature...in case anyone ever wondered. How are you?! I have seen your sister's Before/So-far pics on the Before/After thread and she looks wonderful. Did you ever get any weight gained? Good to see you, girl.
-
My sister has her's scheduled for Dec 1st. I'll tell you anything I find out. Do you have a date yet? Oh, her doc told her 6 weeks off of work. (((hugs)))
-
Aw Francesca. I'm really sorry about your erosion. You have done so well and I know it's a bummer. Glad your insurance is paying for the removal though. Do you have a date yet? Keep us posted and you will be in my prayers.

How come not Dr Joya? Is Kuri easier to get to? What I do know is that Kuri recommends a 2cc first fill for bands my size. I got the 2cc from my local doc (he's the one that said Kuri starts with 2cc) and had to get a small unfill...didn't surprise me at all I was so tight after surgery. So, Kuri seems to be a bit more aggressive than most US docs would be, and all of his fills are under flouro so you know for sure you aren't over-filled before you leave, unless, that is, you swell after your fill (which I think I did) and end up very far away and swollen shut. Sounds dramatic but it's unlikely. I haven't been filled by Kuri but I think you will do fine. Do you know where to go? It's not the office, hospital, hotel, Dr Peterson's, or anywhere you went if you had gone there for surgery. I'm fairly certain you can get a map of TJ on his website. www.beliteweight.com just in case you didn't have it. Find a fill buddy! Anyone going to TJ on the 19th?
-
Ahhh, an actual good fill experience! It's good fro newbies to hear. I don't find fills to be any big deal either. Sure, the needles long, but I guess I had read enough that I was well-prepared. Good for you! How's your restriction?
-
I had to change my technique for getting the wet clothes out of the washer...ouch! It's possible something else is wrong so I would definately mention it next week, unless it gets really unbearable, then go ahead and call. Could it be a stitch? Tubing? Or is it really just healing and sore? See if some liquid Tylenol makes it feel better? Gosh, good luck and let us know how you are doing, okay?
