boobs are getting smaller already :-(

Having that issue as well. About 4 months before surgery my mother in law took me to a bra store and bought me two custom fit bras and the store owners said they would alter them for me as I lost weight, at no charge. Have my first appointment for a bra alteration tomorrow and I can't wait!

    regreting this whole thing

Don't give up! Trust that the weigh will start falling again! Your body is in shock and holding on to the weight for survival, I'm in the same boat right now. And yes you need to get some clothes to help with your confidence. Bag up a bunch of things that don't fit and take them to Savers and donate them. Savers will then give you a coupon for 20 to 30 percent off to go in and buy some gently used clothing. With prices from $3 to $10 per item, plus the discount coupon, you can buy a bag full of clothes for very little money. And your helping Big Brothers Big Sisters too. Hang in there, you are not alone

    Can we eat

I'm in the pureed stage and I eat whipped peanut butter. It is so soft and creamy and not as dense as regular. I just get a teaspoon and lick it like a lollipop over about 5 minutes. Helps when I feel a little weak or tired
  6. I was sleeved on 6/4 as well. And my doctor allows the pureed at this stage as well, including refried beans and hummus. I have the same reaction to food and drink as you, it causes pressure when it goes down but that eases. I just came back to work today for the first time and I'm doing pretty well besides the itchy stomach and being tired. Glad I have an office to shut the door and nap on my lunch hour. Not like I need that time for eating! I've noticed that the last 2 days have each been progressively better so hang in there!
  7. Wow, webchickadee, that is such a great outlook on this whole process. Thanks for sharing!

    Pre-op diet & weight loss

I think your weight loss will vary by person. I know several people lose 15 to 20 and some don't lose much. I'm on day 11 and have lost 9 pounds and haven't lost any in the last 3 days even though I'm not cheating at all. But yet I have lost 1 1/2 inches in the waist this week so I can't complain. Just don't worry about how much you're losing and just realize the goal is to do your best to have your body ready for the surgeon. Good luck!
  9. I'm on day 11 and I know how you feel but it does get better. Just focus on one day at a time and congratulate yourself each day for staying focused! You can do this.

    Bariatric center of ks

I'm sure you've chosen by now but I'm getting mine done on Tuesday by Dr. Hoehn and so far I think he's great. I have 3 friends who used him and they all recommended him. I had heard one of the doctors was out for a family emergency but hadn't heard which one. Good luck!

    Im struggling preop diet

I'm on day 10 of a 14 day. Mine is 3 to 4 protein shakes and if I'm feeling bad I can have 3 oz lean meat. The meat has made a huge difference. Such a small amount but it gives me a lot more strength and energy. And jello has also helped more than I thought it would. Little worried about tonight as I have to bake 2 cakes. Then decorate them tomorrow night.
  12. You can get Syntrax nectar at The Vitamin Shoppe.
  13. I'm halfway through my two weeks. I'm liking the Syntrax Nectar and Unjury brands. I am using more unjury though. Very good flavor on both and they're very comparable.
