Body image issues

Wow. Thank you so much for the outpouring of responses. This is truly amazing. It makes me sad to hear that so many are plagued by the same demon. It really upsets me because I'm trying so hard to lose weight get in shape and feel healthier. I've also upped my workouts to daily to tone up and lean out. But I hope counseling can help me love my body. -
Im 16 months out and I have some serious concerns about my body image. I'm noticing that the image I see in the mirror does not match what I see in pictures. I still see a fat flabby woman when I look in the mirror. When I take a picture I see someone more lean and fit. It seems to be getting worse and I'm getting scared.

I'm going to seek the assistance of therapy. It's just kind of scary how off my perspective is. I get really down on myself. -
While shopping for an event yesterday I asked the saleswomen for assistance in finding some items. Without hesitation one brought me some items. Before I could tell her my size she had already brought me a size 6 which fit perfectly. It was so exciting to have someone see me as a smaller size. My final selections.

Thank you so much ladies. -
Hello All! I hope this post finds everyone doing well. Just a brief note to help those in their journey. I'm 5'3.75" I've always been a thicker girl and packed on the pounds a few years ago due to some antidepressants I was on. I had the sleeve and have done my best to follow all the rules and use the tool as an opportunity for an overall lifestyle change. I've lost approximately 90 pounds. But I still felt "FAT" at times. I love my new body but felt there were problem areas I could target to lose more weight. I did notice, however, my rib cage, hip bone and collar bone were starting to be quite pronounced. It has never been my goal to be "skinny". I just want to be healthy and fit. So I did a little research and found these charts that helped me gain perspective. I am actually, scientifically large framed aka Big Boned. Which I found rather hilarious but it's true. And I am actually at a normal body weight! Which was news to me. For any frustrated losers out there, do the measurements and verify this BEFORE you drive yourself insane. Lol.

Good Morning loves! So I hit my 1 year surgiversary 04/04/14. It's been one heck of a year but whoah have I grown. I feel like a new person. Not just physically but emotionally and mentally. I am more confident. More independent. More comfortable in my skin. All in all the best decision I've ever made. May we all continue to a healthier happier version of ourselves. I've attached a few shots from my modeling shoot I recently did. I'm a 33 year old mother of one. I have lost over 90 pounds. I'm not perfect but I am ME flaws and all. -

Thank you. Maintenance has really been a breeze. Haven't really struggled in keeping it off. I fluctuated a few pounds last two weeks because I was stressing out majorly and not being careful with my choices. I nipped it in the butt quickly and I'm back on track. trick is weighing often. Monitoring your intake and adjusting as soon as u notice a plateau or change. -

Sunday Funday a year Postop. Maintaining my weight loss. So excited. Love my sleeve. -
Hello all. I need some help. I had not had a bm in a few days so I took a laxative and now I'm experiencing horrible stomach pains like not your ordinary pains associated with taking a laxative. A sharp pain in my gut. Like stemming from my belly button. Have any of you experiences anything like this? I'm terrified I did something wrong. I'm headed to the urgent care shortly.

Thank you all. This is terrible pain. I had a bm and passed gas multiple times. Lmfao. Sorry for gross details. It's just a sharp pain radiating from my belly button. It surges upwards and towards my back. -
We had gorgeous weather in TX yesterday so I was finally able to rock my new mini! And boy did jaws drop. Lol. I can't help but toot my own horn. Double takes left and right. And I was thinking to myself, yup a year ago you would have never noticed me. I was invisible! Now you wanna peak?! Enjoy the window shopping because this girl is not interested! Lol
