Old Habits Die Hard...
MsVictorious1020 replied to MsVictorious1020's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't care what people say to me on here. If they can't show enough class to excuse themselves from the conversation like I do all too often, then I guess that's a testament to their character. I don't mind being a "loser" and nerd who follows all the rules. And on the off chance I fail and break a rule I certainly won't be posting on a forum looking for cheerleaders to justify my behavior. I will humbly admit the error of my ways and move forward. -
Old Habits Die Hard...
MsVictorious1020 replied to MsVictorious1020's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey I totally get that. We've all had our moments. I just hate it when people start with the whole, "do what you want these doctors don't know everything" "you know your body better than they do" "it won't kill you to drink carbonation or from a straw" "I deserve this because of everything I've been doing for myself" those are all justifications for bad behavior. I don't make it a practice of scolding anyone. I just opt not to comment at all when I read these posts. But it just irritates me bc it's counterproductive and I feel it teaches people how to work around the system. -

Ok so I'm not the crazy one. Lmbo. :-) -
I just made me a delicious veggie purée last night that I'm really enjoying. I bought 2 zucchini, 2 squash, fresh green beans, 2 tomatoes, an onion and some garlic. I sautéed them in a small amount of olive oil, chicken broth and seasoned with cayenne pepper. When they were nice and soft I put in the blender and puréed. It has consistency of apple sauce but lots of flavor. It may not be for everyone but play around in the kitchen.

To cerenatee. Yes to all your questions. After sauteeing I pour everything in a blender and purée.

Hello all of my fellow DFW Sleevers! I found a fabulous place to get healthy prepared meals that are right sized portions and nutritionally dense. It's in Plano off Park and Midway. Right next door to Pei Wei. It's called Pick A Fit foods. I thought I'd share with all who struggle in meal preparation and eating out. I loved the creamy vegetable soup which is perfect for stage 2 of our diet.

Congrats! You look amazing. So happy for you. I hope I can achieve my weight loss goal sooner than later. -
I'm freaking out a lil bit. I've been stalled for two weeks now. I've only lost 1 pound in that time. I've been walking daily and diligently taking in my protein. I'm hoping this isn't foreshadowing what the rest of my journey will be like. I've been working so hard. I can't handle this disappointment well. Please someone anyone tell me this will end soon.

Well I'm a slow loser but I did my best to get in 4 premier protein shakes with 30grams of protein. I'd sip water, apple juice and/or grape juice. I've recently started walking daily for about 30-50 min a day. -
Hahaha. So today I got cleared for soft foods! Woot woot. So bestie and I went to Red Lobster to get fish. I got tilapia and mashed potatoes. I was able to eat 3 tiny nibbles of each and I'm full! What a crazy feeling. I can't believe how amazing I feel to eat so little. :-)

My sweet Ernestine. I have been losing inches. I had my appt with Nurse yesterday and she told me to bump up calories. I'm going to fight my hardest to do so. Never in a million years did I ever think I would struggle in getting my calories in. Lmbo. -
