despise my lapband with a passion. Lowest weight I have ever gotten to was 172 lbs, lost the sweet spot due to non-stop PB'ing and had to get an unfill from a pooched pouch. Immediately put back on 8 lbs.
Sat at 180 lbs for two more years even though I paid $375 out of pocket constantly to find that sweet spot again. Have never found it. I went through extensive metabolic testing last fall and have been told due to the band I have metabolic failure. Even though I paid $6,000 last year on a personal trainer, trained 4-5x per week in addition to regular running, somehow I have managed to gain 23 lbs in the past 7 months. It is devastating. I suffer from constant pain in my back due to the excess weight, snore, borderline high blood pressure and have had to take an EKG two months ago to rule out any problems.
What scares me the most is just how out of control this is even with the lapband filled at 3.3cc in a 4.0cc band. My mother died of a heart attack at age 63 from weight related diabetes. Two of my aunts are over 300 lbs and one of my aunts (who is 270 lbs) had a heart attack two years ago.

All I have to do to see my future is look at the women around me...very sobering.

Revising to the sleeve feels like the only thing left to do. I cant keep spending money on personal trainers only to have my metabolism with the lapband work against me
