[size=4][font=comic sans ms,cursive]The Band worked OK when it was filled and I didn't have gastritis. Then is slipped.... and it had to be removed. I had lost a total of about 80 lbs.... but gained back 50 after it was removed. Now, 2 years later I still need help.... I wish I could manage to do diet and exercise but it is a total yo yo and I never end up ahead! So now looking at the Sleeve. I am in Florida and it is just starting to rev up here. I guess it has been going strong in Texas for a bit. A friend of mine in Texas & his wife had a DS and both have done very well. However, he says a lot of DS patients there are wondering if they could have been successful with just the sleeve and without the intestine re-routing which causes issues of it's own. My other issue is if I can get it approved by insurance. It is technically "not covered" however, there is a Benefit Exception IF you have comorbid issues, which I do. I am praying this all will work as I don't feel great with no energy etc and just want my life back! :D [b] NEWS!!!!! October 2013- my new insurance allows Bariatrics!!! YIPPEEE OK, so I have till January to get prepared. I am going to start the pre-diet.... my surgeons office says there is a 3 month excellerated diet plan. This would put me in-line for surgery at the beginning of the year... January/February ish. I am ready to roll!!! I am hopefull that they WLL use this time before I am actually on the insurance plan, but it's definately worth a try! I need to get my life moving.... and I HAVE A PLAN! WATCH OUT WORLD....
