I was sleeved on February 11, 2013. In the first 2 weeks post op, I lost an AMAZING 35 pounds. Iiiii know, right? BUT... tomorrow will be my 6 week post op and I haven't lost another pound. SO, I haven't lost a SINGLE ounce in the past 6 weeks. I've lost inches, that's obvious, but I'm getting reeeeally depressed. I don't have unrealistic expectations. I know that 35 pounds in 2 weeks is miraculous and weight will not continue to fall off that quickly... BUT, I would like to AT LEAST be losing 1 or 2 pounds a week!
I'm eating PERFECTLY by the book. No cheating at all. No over eating. I'm drinking my Protein shakes and Water, crystal light, etc. The ONLY thing I can think of that would be stunting my weight loss is the fact that I have suffered from extreme constipation (or, lack of necessity, really) since surgery. I've only "gone" once per week since surgery. EACH one of them was with medicinal assistance. And, when I DO "go", it's teeny tiny amounts. I KNOW I'm backed up.
I went to the doc last week and explained what I had been eating, how I have been constipated...etc. He simply said, "Constipation can be normal after this surgery. Keep taking the Fiber, milk of mag, etc and see you back in 4 weeks."
UGH. This was really frustrating.
I'm seriously at the point now where I'm feeling like maybe this surgery just isn't working for me somehow. May sound crazy... but, I feel as though I'm "done" losing weight. I feel like I may never lose another pound.
I need some reassurance. Had anyone had a weight-losing stall for FOUR WHOLE WEEKS?
Thanks in advance,
Nikki
