Okay, I am sooo excited. Halloween is just around the corner.. Well for me it is. I work at a haunted house! We open Sept 29th!!! We are going strong on the the construction!!! I usually help with that but because of my surgery and baby sitting issues I haven't been up there as much as usual. But I help out where I can.... Anyway...I went to see my friend who owns the place and we discussed my position there. I am going to be a manager of one area...eeeha!! Love it!! AND this was a bonus!! I fell in love with a halloween costume MONTHS ago.....I found it on the internet and it was like $70-80.00!!! My friend gets catelogs from different companies and lo and behold...the costume was in the new catelog and it was a fraction of the cost!!! SOOOO GUESS WHAT IM GETTING! I can't wait. This costume is sooo pretty....well to me it is...in a sick twisted way. And it comes in plus sizes. I asked to order the largest size avail...which is a 24...but these costumes are cut small...I figure if I were to get it to actually fit I would be in a size 18-20. I gotta fit clothes underneath to keep warm too...I am an outside creature manager, so I gotta do what I can to keep warm!! I will post pictures when I get the costume in hand...ehehehehehehehehehehe I CAN'T WAIT. I dont know if our website is up yet, but if you wanna take a look its at www.TerrorDome.com That place is a second home and the people who own it are a second family...I love them dearly! CANT WAIT, CANT WAIT CANT WAIT! I come to life in the fall!

Jenna~ Have you ever been to Salem? My Dad and I went when I was younger. This is an absolutely beautiful town~~ There is a park in the center of town that is fenced in with an iron fence....We spent some time in there feeding the birds...that was relaxing. And some of the streets are still cobble stone....and the shops OH MY GOSH..You gotta go with your money boy! We went into a chamber that was used for the Witch Trials..and it depended on how much money the witches family had as to what size cell he/she had. (All thought there weren't very many men convicted of witchery) If you were poor, ohhhhh man...You were literally kneeling on the floor, your arms were completely at your side and your head was tilted. You couldn't sit, you couldn't move your head...it was horriable. If your family had a little money you were able to atleast stand up...If you were rich it was a regular jail cell...Well, you could stand there was a chair in there. Not nice accomodations, but better than kneeling. Then we went to a reinactment of a witch trial. Because this girl, she was 16, had a mole she was fingered as a witch. When her neighbors kids became sick, they blamed her and she was put to death for practising witch craft. Sad! There are burial grounds up there...places where they tell you people were buried upside down so their soul couldn't escape....sick stuff they did to the people at that time..But Salem is such a pretty town..I look forward to going back. Its about a 2 1/2 hour drive from where I am.

The smell of fall is uncomparable to anything else in this world! I love it. Better than the smell of an ocean~ Keri, your party sounds like sooo much fun! I wanna come. Illinois is a bit far though...dont think I could talk the hubbie into that one My father has manic depression. One of his outlets was art. He was an awesome artist too. He drew ballarinas on my sisters walls of her bedroom and I had all the disney characters... Well, Halloween time really was a great outlet for him. He one year desided to make me Ms Piggy. He made a 50 pound paper mache' head that looked exactly like Ms Piggy...complete with eye lashes and red lips...it was un real! Oh my gosh and the hair!!! Then he went to a thrift store and found a shear pink bed coat with feathery poofs on the collar and wrist bands...and then I wore my moms old silver "dress" shoes...high heals. I remember I almost killed myself in that costume. The head was so heavy. I remember my neck snapping back and forth with the weight of this thing....BUT I did win first place in the Halloween parade!! Then another year he made me a Smurf!!! I won again that year too! Maybe this is where I get my love for the holiday I dunno! But it was always something special in our house. Then I just took it over when I got older! I make all of my sons costumes....well except for last year, he got his first store bought costume....he was a cop. In the years past he was Elvis, a Pimp, and a wizard!!!

Lisa Marie..... Common girl...you shouldn't be down. This is what you couldn't wait for!! Your just tired. Take lots of naps and take it slow. You will feel whole again soon! It took me a good week and a half ~ two weeks to get back to my semi normal state. I am by no means a whimp and the pain didn't have me down....I was just exhausted!! Does this sound familur?? "Be good to yourself, be gental with yourself..." Dont make me get Mauri on you... And also remember, if your light headed and feelin woozy apple juice mixed with water...the sugar in the apple juice will level you out a bit. Hang in there...the best is yet to come. Right now isn't a time for weight loss...the weight you do loose is a bonus! Right now is a time to heal..remember that. PM me if you need to talk..... SEE YA LATER

Lisa Marie.. Same thing happened to me with the drinking too fast. That is a horriable feeling, but I did feel better once I slowed down a bit. Just remember not to compare yourself to other people or your sister. We are all different. What happens to one person wont happen to another....Just take your time and do whats best for you~Isn't Isopure a Protein drink??? They come from GNC, they are fruity flavors? They have a ton of protein in em.................I did not like em! Left a huge lump in my throat...like all the whey protein couldn't make it down....gross. Okay...glad you both are doing good! TTYL

WAHOOO! Congrats to you both! This is a very exciting time for you two! I think its really cool how the two of you are going through it together!! How awesome! Keep up the good work and I will be talkin to ya soon! Hey, hows the pressure on the chest??? TTYL

Penni~~ I live in New York. There are alot of great surgeons in the city...I am about an hour north of the city...... Thats a relief to hear that it is not painful! PHEW...may make my decision easier when I am face to face with the actual possiblity of having it done. I know someone who just paid $2000.00 out of pocket for the procedure...not too bad... Kare~~ Well what ever you had to do to get the surgery it was well worth it! Your inner beauty is just shinning thru now. We know that it sounds superficial, but when you look good on the outside, all the inner good ness comes out sooo much easier!!! I am truely happy for you!!

WOW You look great after having that surgery... How much vision did you loose as a result of the droopin skin around your eyes? I use to get pre surgical photos all the time for this surgery and field vision test results, when I worked at the insurance company. I would document the info in the computer and send the paper work to the powers that be that make the approvals or denials on certain surgeries. I have been considering Lasiks surgery (spelling?) I dunno though...Some people say your wide awake for the procedure some people say your knocked out. I dont like that feeling of being hovered over in a dentist chair and everyone says its the same feeling. If I had it done,I would have to be knocked out....To not have to wear contacts or glasses!!! Ugh, that would be sooooooo nice

Pressure on your chest? Like a small child is sitting on it? You may be drinking too much. I felt like there was a kid on me, and I called Dr Kwon and he told me I was drinking too much. I didn't know how the hell that was possible, but once I slowed it down I was feeling much better. Is the feeling right in the middle of your chest, like where your sturnum is? I was very weak too the first week afterwards...but ya gotta think about how many calories and carbs your taking in NOW vs. what you were taking in. You will be okay...this first week is very scarey!! Remember apple juice if you get light headed. I had to have that a few times. I am sooo very happy for you and your sister! You guys were about ready to fall out of your chairs at the last meeting!!! Now, you are on the other side. Remember your first meeting at Mauris office? Seems so long ago now doesn't it? Before you know it, and before I know it...a year will have passed! Its exciting!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TWO OF YA!! TTYL -
today is not one of my better days. i dunno if its pms or if i am just truely loosing control. i am extreamly stressed out today and i just want Cookies and ice cream and chips.....it all started out with a "death threat"...i didn't tell my husband about this cause he would have just said, I told you so....I joined an online meeting place...MySpace.com and this guy sent me an invitation to his buddy list. So i sent him an email introducint myself..yadda yadda yadda...and today I got a message back from him, stop talking to me you stupid psycho bitch...if you talk to me again i will have my essays kill your bitch ass.....sooo i deleted the message and continued to delete my account there. i met some really nice people there, but i dont have to put up with that crap! okay he invited me to be on his buddy list, whos the psycho now? okay that was the first thing....then there were a few little things inbetween that and food shopping. i went to this store thats in the town where i live and spent 100.00 MORE than I would normally spend if I went to a shopping place out of town. i got home and my husband said...I thought you were just going to pick up a few things...I said, why go out twice to do food shopping...He said I thought you knew better....(there is that I told you so attitude).......Then he starts helping me put away the food, and I say, Im going to lay down, I am not in a good spot today and I need to go back to sleep.......He said oh what ever, I was going to lay down, but what ever. Sooo I digressed....OKAY, you go lay down. (We can't nap together, cause our son will be awake, he refuses to take naps, so when we nap we do it in shifts). After all, hes the one that works 70 hours a week at his job....(Like working in a house and taking care of our son isn't)......So he walks out of the kitchen. I asked him if he was done putting away the food and he said NO I thought you said for me to go lay down. I said never mind I will do it. He said NO NO ILL DO IT, and went in there and threw the groceries where ever they would fit. Thats fine, but dont do it with an attitude. Then he goes to lay down. Sooo now he is laying down its 4:30 in the afternoon. He is going to get a new tattoo at 6:00...he wont be home till 8:30-9:00 and I AM AGROVATED TO ALL HELL! My cousin is having a get together tonigth to break in her new pool...so maybe while he is getting his new tattoo maybe i will go for a dip at my cousins. Yea right..I will more than likely have to go with him......god forbid i am out of his sight. I dont like today very much!!! And right now all I can do is think about food.....and I can't do it. I have come so far.....what do we do when we have days like today???

Thanks everyone for the support! Goodness Lisa, didn't realize you were back in circulation yet...GOOD FOR YOU! I hope you and your sister are doing well! Vines ~ My son is 7...going on 18. Way too big for the play pen. I liked your comment about the boring essay...but I think he was meaning essay, hommey what ever! beyond me. As far as Anthony playing in his room quietly...well, that wouldn't happen. He plays in there, but he wouldnt understand that Mommy needs a time out. He would wake me. My little guy has Downs and he is very demanding of my attention. Yea my husband does work alot, but Im not working right now. I go back to work in September... La madam ~ You are soooo right. I give too much power to other people some times. I am the one in control of me! And again your right, I DO deserve this. I deserve to stay on tract and stay focused. I am going to clean myself up a little, I will see if my mother will watch my son for an hour and I am going out for a drive, away from people and everything and everyone! I may stop by my cousins pool party...but I dunno. But I do know I will not be stopping for ice cream, Cookies, or chips.... THANK YOU ALL SOO VERY MUCH FOR LISTENING. YOU REALLY HELPED ME FEEL BETTER! TTYL

Anyone under a super stressful long term situation
porclndoll replied to burnsun's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I know that under stressful times my band becomes super tight. I dont even have to eat and I can feel the restriction. I have been married for 10 years. This month on the 19th its our annaversary. However, we have been going thru some hard times...fighting, blah blah blah, you know the drill. It took me some soul searching to get to a good spot mentally, however the stomach hasn't caught up to my brain yet. I got stuck last night on chicken...and I got stuck again this morning on eggs...scrambled stupid eggs got stuck! I am going to do protein shakes for a couple of days I think, till my stomach is able to catch up to the rest of me.... -
Cost of Hospital - Lourdes Med Ctr Willingboro NJ
porclndoll replied to KarenA's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Holy Moly thats insane!!! My son was born in 1997, and was very sick when he was born. He spent a week in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (At WestChester Medical Center in Vallhala NY) and believe me it was intense in there!! The hospitals billing department must have all been smoking crack because they sent ME to collections for his hospital bill! $17,800.00. The bill had been paid by my insurance company...I got a copy of the check and the cashed date .. everything I needed to go to war with them...and I did... Two months later, I got A SECOND NOTICE FROM A DIFFERENT COLLECTION AGENCY for the same account. Apparently they sent me to collections twice. I contacted them and said how stupid are you?? I was mad, I usually don't treat people like that. I sent them all the proof of payment a SECOND time and haven't heard anything about it again. But I guess I am astounded at the amount of your bill. How could it cost more for the lap band than it does to take care of a sick baby in ICU?? WOW!!! Your band must be made out of solid gold...your so lucky Lemme know if you need someone to go to war with you! Im good at it!! Have a great day! -

Well, I bought a cook book from my surgeons office. Eatting Well After Weight Loss Surgery. I picked three reciepies outta the book and shopped for all the IN-GRED-I-ENTS today. Sooo I am gonna roll up my sleves and take a poke at this cookin thing. You should have seen me in the food store! I was sooo confused! Do you know how many spices are in the spice isle??? FRESH cauliflower, you mean it all doesn't come in a bag in the frozen food isle? Balsamic Vinegar? Does that come from from country of Balsam? I acutally got fish outta the fish market! It didn't come in a box nor was it breaded or shaped like a stick!!! Soooo far Im impressing myself! We will see when it comes Monday dinner time. We usually get take out on the weekends so all of the IN-GRED-I-ENTS are in the kitchen looking at me, looking at them! hehehehehehe I will letcha know how it goes. I am going to try and cook pork loin and a cheese cake on Monday... WISH ME LUCK!
-
Welp, I made it out alive...Didn't cause any botchilism, no salminella poisoning....The dish I made was pretty good. Had a lot of different flavors going on. It was salmon with a dill sauce. I will more than likely make that dish again. Tonight is going to be...or hopefully going to be I should say...pork loin with plum sauce I will talk to you all later! GOOD DAY

Hey there Felicia... I took a week off. I had surgery on a Wednesday...And went back to work on Monday and it was just too much for me. I ended up taking the rest of the week off and did NOTHING but rested. My mom helped me with my son. Then I went back to work that following Monday.....soo all in all, 8 days. Everyone is different though. I had a bad reaction to the anestesia and I was taking in very little calories. I was light headed and dizzy, very little strength...soo It was safer and smarter for me to stay home. There have been people who have taken off way less time, but my Dad was gonna come up from Florida and choke me if I tried to go back to work after that first Monday!! He told me I HAD TO STAY HOME cause I sounded like sh*t ~ Sometimes they know best Okay...GOOD LUCK TO YOU TTYL

Jachut ~ HOME DELIVERED??? You can get fresh food home delivered? Where do you live? The only thing that you get delivered in New York tends to be loaded with fat and half of the meal is stuck to the lid of the container it came in....The food tastes great!! But....nothing that is good for you could possibly be delivered!!! Then again, maybe I haven't looked hard enough....ehehehhe thats always a possiblity. Oh my goodness Jack ...I never thought that this could be a habit. Now Im scared. MollyMolly ~ Cooking bugs? What the heck goes on in YOUR kitchen?? heheh sorry couldn't resist. I am in a WEIRD mood tonight! Fee ~ Thanks for the support!! Piercedqt ~ Thank you for the link. I will keep it handy so I can order the cookbook you mentioned...after I set the one I have on fire. Monday is quickly approaching. I still have time to back out I wont. I gotta learn how to do this. I got out and walked walked walked tonight and ran into a friend from high school...The world must have tilted off its axis or something....buying a cook book, getting the stuff to cook AND exercise...what the??? QUICK someone look outside for flying pigs! ehehehe Okay, Im babbling. I will talk to you all later!!! GOOD NIGHT
