  1. I'm 4 weeks post op and have been re-admitted back into the hospital due to my Dr. finding 2 small blood clots on my lungs. I'm on day 6 now as I type this and was hoping to go home today. NOT!!! Dr. says maybe tomorrow. I'm just glad they were caught in time and thank God for getting me through this. The BCs are being aggressively treated and I'm just waiting on my blood to thin out. Still wondering how I got them as I was pretty active after my surgery. Now on to my 2nd issue. I am nauseous as hell. Found out that my pouch isn't emptying as fast as it should. WHAT IN THE SAM HILL IS GOING ON???? My surgery was in no way, shape, form or fashion as bad as this. In fact it was a piece of cake and seems like a blur. Plus my incisions have healed up nicely. I was only on pain meds the 2 days while in the hospital and its been smooth sailing up until 2 weeks ago when I started taking those awful Protein shakes. OMG!! I don't ever want to see another drink that starts with PRO. I tried several different kinds and they all made me nauseous. As for these minor setbacks, I would still recommend the surgery and this wonderful hospital that I'm in. From this day forward, I just want to feel normal again and out of harms way. I'm not trying to scare any pre ops away or anybody for that matter. This is my story and I was wondering if there are others who share my story.
  2. THANKS everybody for responding.
  3. Hi and yes. Actually I was just released today and they have me on Coumadin.
  4. Hi Houston17. Yes I have one and I think I'll go back to using it once I get home.
  5. Hi Yaya. I went for my routine check up and explained my that it was extremely painful to breathe and that my back (on the right side) was hurting as well. I thought I had pulled something because it hurt to lay on that side as well. Even to the touch it was painful. From that conversation I had to have bloodwork done and a CAT scan of my chest which showed the BCs and was immediately admitted.

    Just wanting sleeve buddies

Hi Angela. I hope all is well. Add me to your buddy list as I'm always in the mood to help, encourage and bounce ideas. I'm 4 weeks post op now and still finding my way through this initial stage. My Dr. Just advanced me to full liquid diet which I'm getting use to and is far better than the Protein shakes and chicken broths. LOL.
  7. THANKS EVERYBODY for responding. You guys are awesome and I wish you much continued success.

    New to the site!

Hi Gena. Congratulations to you. Get ready for your journey. I'm 3 weeks post op so I'm still a baby to this but my experience has been wonderful. Before surgery I would take three pills a day, now I'm down to 1 in such a short time and I'm hoping my dr. takes me off if it as well. So it'll definitely be worth coming off your meds in addition to becoming healthier and loosing weight. Well I wish you nothing but the best and stay in touch and let me know your progress.
  12. You look amazingly beautiful. Thanks for sharing your story.
  13. I'm post op almost three weeks now and I didn't tell a lot of people about my surgery. I haven't gone out much but I know once people see me they will have questions and will definitely have questions once they realize I'm not eating as much as before. By no means am I ashamed about my surgery, I'm just not in the mood to loose friends once I tell them, due to a or any negative comments they might have. Honestly I don't know if there will be negativity but I'm wondering what to expect or should I not say anything. HELP!!!

    To Tell Or Not Tell
