    loose skin

I've been using Palmer's Cocoa butter formula massage lotion for stretch marks and it seems to do an ok job.. I also use some soap stuff with what looks like sand in it and a scrubber in the shower.. The combo seems to be working for me.. I had some pretty bad loose skin under my arm pit area and upper thighs and they are more firm then they where.. not perfect, but better. I also work out as much as I can.. weight training to build muscle on my off time from mma training.. I need to up my weight training, but I am already at my mma gym 14 hours a week and at retro fitness 2 hours.

    Goal Outfit?

I didn't do this, because I honestly don't know what size I will be at the end of this thing.. I just got 2 new outfits (my first new clothes because wearing my old stuff was starting to look like a little kid wearings dads clothes) and I was able to fit in a 36 inch waist jeans!! My old jeans are 42-44 inch.. I was soooo excited that I fit into them. I got 2 xl shirts which do fit, but are still a little tight right now.. They should fit great in a month or two though Now that I hit the half way mark it is a bit easier to see myself fitting into a 32 inch jean one day.. but I will wait until I am there to spend the money.. that way I can see how awesome they look at the time of purchase..
  3. you look great! Congrats. I don't see where you could find another 35 to lose though.. lol
  4. I felt the same way and I'm pushing 75 lbs down since March 10 (day I started pre-op) It's a battle, and it takes time to learn what is head hunger and real hunger. The one thing I can suggest to you is to set up an account (free) at myfitnesspal.com and track everything you eat. It does a couple of things for me.. it lets me know that even on days I do splurge a bit I barly touch 1000 calories, and on average days about 600. It also lets me track carbs, and plan out my meals / Snacks.. If I know I am getting high on carbs, I make a lower carb choice and so on. I started it when I was in a stall, and it helped me get over it. I also use an ap called jefit for my iphone to manage my workouts. It's not the best one, but it works well for now. Also, while watching what you eat is best, do not obsess over it. Track it, make the best choices you can in what you eat and you will do fine.

    Snacks

At that stage cheese was my best friend. I also liked wheatthins as well for a craving for crunchy.

    Curious

It's different for everyone.. depends on how much you need to lose, how long you have been heavy and your age. On that note, I have also been using Palmers Cocoa butter to help with it and so far so good. I'm trying to do everything I can to prevent needing to have another surgery to fix loose skin.

    I keep fainting.

check your blood pressure, and I would also speak to your doctor.. It could be a few things.. but I had major dizzyness and it was low blood pressure.

    Any Tattooed Sleevers?

I would hold off until you level off for a few months. My friend has one on her upper thigh and dropped about 40 lbs.. She plans on getting a coverup done once she loses the rest of the weight she has planned. It's not horrible.. but it's only a year old and it is visably difficult to tell what exactly it is unless you look close. I'm very picky about my tatt's and for what you pay for a high end artist to do perfect lines and shading, it's worth waiting til those lines will look great for years and years to come.

    Exercise? How to get committed...

Like Nike says.. Just do it. There is no secret answer to the question.. You have to set up a schedule for yourself and stick to it. Use a calendar, an app, whatever, and schedule it with a reminder and stick with it. After a couple of weeks, you will be in a routine and it will be easier to stick with. Another option would be to get involved in some sort of class, or find a workout buddy who will push you to go even when you don't want to. Start slow, and don't overdo it. When I returned to mma, I did 3 days a week of yoga then did 2 days yoga 1 day jui jitsu. Now I am doing 5 days a week 2 days jui jitsu, 1 day kick boxing, 1 day wrestling 1 day cross training. I also do an hour of yoga before each class. So about 2 hours a day. I may add another day to the mix

    New to the Forum

Glad to see you are taking the steps to return to better health. It is a journey like no other. I too was drawn to the sleeve surgery after research and I am not disappointed in my choice. There are struggles, and time where you may say to yourself "what did I do?" but those times pass, and as you adjust to your new lifestyle, the rewards are amazing. This site has such good support for us, and it is a great replacement for the in person groups which I do not take part in. Use the search feature for any questions and you almost certainly will get the answer you seek, and keep us all up to date with your progress.. Congrats, and welcome to the sleever club.
  14. Just tough it out.. I don't know what your Doc allows.. each is different. Mine allowed a Protein and veggie dinner yogurt for snacking, and shakes for Breakfast and lunch.. After surgery the liquid diet I was dieing for something savory. I would do a glass of V8 with horse radish, or a splash of Worcestershire sauce.. It gave me the spicy I was looking for with a veggie taste to it.

    Crushed. Ice?

We get bags of the Ice from Sonic which is a soft nugget type ice and I chew on them all the time.. I've always been an ice chewer so it works perfect for me.

    congrats, and best wishes.

    Smoking?

Every doc is different. I'm a smoker, and he knew that going in.. I told him I probably wouldn't quit and while he advised I do and gave me reasons why it can cause complications with the surgery, he didn't make a big deal about it.. If you aren't a smoker and just started, STOP.. Nicotine is very hard to kick and it's sooo not worth getting hooked. With that said, find out from your doctor.. but chances are he's going to say the same thing.

    Lightheaded?

I was having the same issue last week (about 7 weeks out) and found out it was low blood pressure combined with not eating enough. I only manage to get about 400 calories in per day and they want me to eat at least 600-800 preferred 1200.. I do what I can, but try to eat the highest protein stuff I can for at least 3 meals and then 2 snacks with veggies.

    Driving?

See how you feel.. I think my doc said wait a full week. If you are on pain meds still then they suggest waiting a full 24 hours after the last dose you take. I didn't drive for about 10 days after, but could have after probably 5ish.
