Thanks for posting this its good to see some negativity out of all the positive because I know this surgery isn't a walk in the park. I haven't had the surgery yet but I'm sure it will get better. I see a lot of people are depressed afterwards but as time goes by You get the hang of it. I have a huge stomach and I don't even get in 64oz of water..oppose lol

I'm not a emotional eater but I freaking love food..I keep telling my self I can do this but I'm really not sure if I can. Watching my family, bf, friends eat fries,Chinese food...pasta..and me not being able to eat it will be torture. I have to keep reminding my self my stomach will be small so that will make it easier to not eat the carbs cause I won't have much room but still. How did you get through not being able to eat fatty foods?

right before I started to gain I was10 up till then I played lots of sports and gymnastics..I'm hoping that little girl who enjoyed being active is somewhere still in me lol I have become incredibly lazy and introverted...I'm sick of being shy and having zero friends and self confidence...I want to see what my adult body looks like! It sucks I have to give up the food I love most but It's going to be worth it..I hope

dumb question but did you hate working out before? If so how did it change? I guess if I didn't huff and puff after a block of walking I wouldn't mind working out. Thanks !

I'm sick of being fat and I certainly don't want to die in my 20s I guess that's more important than Chinese food but damn! I'm going to miss it dearly...it also doesn't help that I'd rather have noodles and rice instead of meat...I also hate most veggies lol...I'm going to die ...the best thing I can do to my brain is make it hate food which I will if I can't have what I want lmao. The amount of time for diet depends on the size of your liver. That diet is for your safety and makes it easier on the surgeon.

My bf and I both play games..I don't play as much as I used to right now so it pisses me off when he comes home from work and goes straight to the computer. Also since I'm on ssi and stay at home he thinks I should do all the house work..we aren't married and I'm not his mother. It isn't my job to pick up after him..grinds my gears...kinda feels like we are married at this point lol. So I feel for you..

Totally different from surgery but I had my lip pierced once and it went numb and tingly off and on for a few weeks but went back to normal lol also love my neighbor totoro

Well some surgeons will delay surgery if your liver is too big.

I had to have work done in my nose and I was scared but I remember being rolled into the operating room an counting down from 10.. It's really like blacking out. My sleeping meds often knock me out and I don't remember falling asleep..it's really not that bad. The nausea though that was the worst part of it all. Just take your mind off things. Take a nice bath or go to a hot tub. That always makes my mind turn to mush

I feel like he remembered it but maybe not. My bf has said quite a few mean things to me awake. The next time he does something like that I'm scheduling a couple session with my therapist..mine has actually gone to two but for me not for something he did so I know he's willing to try and I'm willing to be patient cause before we met he never even been on a date so he has no foundation of a relationship. I'm sorry things aren't smooth with your husband. I really think if he isn't willing to work on the relationship together or put some effort into it it's time to move on. It won't get better if he isn't willing to try. It sucks cause you guys are high school sweet hearts but marriage is supposed to be enjoyable. Sure there are bumps but both partners have to work through it.

Yeah once my bf threatendto punch me in his sleep when I tried waking him up when was exhausted lol I know he never would but it still hurt my feelings and he felt horrible when I told him after he woke up..definitely give him some space

Is he irritated that you are getting the surgery? When I am doing something my bf disagrees with he a complete asshat the rest of the day till he decides to talk about it..but no I don't think you are over reacting. Might be best to just give him some space to cool off or gather his thoughts..sounds like he is irritated

im not a emotional eater I just eat because it taste so good and ill try to eat everything on my plate. Since my stomach is so big if I portion it out ill graze vs if I eat a big meal ill be good for 5+ hours

Yep! I'm sick of being a slave to food! And huffing and puffing after walking up the stairs in my apartment...if I didn't need help I wouldn't have been fat for all these years. Happy Easter!
