My insurance requires me to be refered by my doctor before I start anything and I won't be able to see her till the 25th so hopefully she gives me the ok. I know I'll be required to do the 6 month diet. But usually it is the doctor who tell you to lose a % of the your weight due to a fatty liver or to make it easier for your surgeon. From what I have read that is.

what documentaries did you watch?

You don't have to lose weight unless the doctor tells you to lose a% of your fat cause of your liver or if they believe it will make the surgery easier. It's best to try though

my insurance covere it but you have to be pretty bad to where its cause health issues, rashes ect this is by asking a few who have my insurance so I'm not 100% but I'm super scared as well. I'd never be able to save up for it and if I tried it could take years...sucks

Imagine eating so little? I'm still pre op but I'm laying here looking through the sleeved diets and seeing what people are eating and how much of and I'm like TWO slices of turkey?!?! I can eat 5 slices of pizza when I'm hungry lol I usually only eat 1 big meal a day but man can I eat..I can eat as much as my bf and he is 6'3" 330 pounds big guy...it's embarrassing that I can eat that much. So it's pretty hard to see my self eating so little. I see lots of throwing up in the future if I'm approved lol

I don't have Cigna but I know a lot of insurances won't cover unless the skin is causing problems like rashes

Sometimes it's the doctors who ask you to do this if your liver is fat. But I have seen dates pushed cause they did not lose enough.

I am pre op and I have a extremely hard time knowing when to stop eating and portions are my down fall on diets. I see some people say they don't get that full feeling so it makes me worried -

I am the same way as you! Mostly because I am nocturnal but I don't eat Breakfast or lunch and I eat a huge dinner and then snack or sometimes eat another meal at night. I'm not a sweets person either or in love with soda. I don't have it in the house and ill get it when we go out but for the most part I drink tea....so I guess measuring my food will suck cause I'm not good at measuring lol I always just wing it but ill go but some oz containers and a food scale -
its good for people to know the struggles this surgery brings in my opinion at least. Really ur supposed to stay away from bread, pasta and rice. I tried putting ham and turkey in a lettuce wrap...it wasn't too bad..not better than bread but its doable. I feel you though...you really should try adding different stuff to your shakes and switch between vanilla and chocolate. I add a tiny bit of banana to chocolate when I get sick of plain chocolate..

I'm pre op but I fear what you're going through...I hate Greek yogurt but I like yo play lol and I won't eat salad without dressing..it's going to be a hard adjustment but you have to remember that tasty delicious bad food is why we are all here. Is it really worth having health issues and kicking the bucket over? From what I see it takes a few months to get in the habit of eating healthy cause you have trained your brain to love unhealthy. Also have you tried premier shakes? I actually crave the chocolate some times..you can add fruit to your shakes or peanut butter to help them not taste bleh I hope it gets easier for you!

It's 1-2 days sometimes longer. It depends on your doctor

So Tuesday night I had a panic attack with some bad news and then wed morning the news got worse and I could feel my heart beating fast, I started to get dizzy and light headed and then my bottom lip went numb..I had a appointment today but my doctor was not in so I didn't get the chance to ask her about this. I'm wondering if it meant I went into hypertension or just had really high bp. Has anyone ever experienced this? Scared the crap out of me..if I wasn't serious about surgery before I deffinetly am now..don't want to die of a stroke or heart attack at 20 -
