Since my 6 month diet starts on the 24th does that mean My diet ends the 24th of December or does it end whenever my last appointment with the dietician? If so can my appointments be scheduled any time of the month or does it have to be on or closely around the 24th? I'm trying to figure this out cause my coordinator said my surgery will be in December and if that's right then it doesn't make sense cause then my 6 months wouldn't end till late December and then you have to wait for approval and all those appointments.

Great news! I called my dietician to clarify and she said my A1c is pre diabetic range but in their system I have diabetes but its controlled so now I just have my psyc stuff to be cleared.

I started my 6 months today and my dietician said that I only have pre diabetes. I saw a hematologist a couple years ago and he said I have diabetes..my insurance requires you to have diabetes to be approved..my dietician said that some doctors consider pre diabetes diabetes..now I had to get pre approved and send in my app to the bariatric center at my seminar before I could see my surgeon and get started..it says on the paper to not bother applying if you are under 18, below 35 BMI and don't have diabetes, over age 71 and or a BMI of over 71 and yet I was accepted and my insurance approved all of my pre op appointments..so I'm confused but my dietician made me nervous...I called and left a message with my doctors nurse to find out how she is wording my diabetes situation..I'm hoping to hear soon but my doctor is always booked and busy...also super nervous about my psyc test..I should hear back from the team in a few weeks..ugh this **** stresses me out..I want this more than anything!

Has anyone not lost anything during the 6 months before surg?
NewAshes replied to adargie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At the bariatric center in my city you are required to lose a % of your weight. If your doctor\surgeon didn't tell you to try and lose some weight then you shouldn't really worry about it. Although losing some weight really helps with the safety of the surgery? -

This surgery can test relationships for sure if seen some break up and divorce posts but it just sounds like he is afraid of losing you. He may deny it but make sure to reassure him you love him and won't go anywhere. I'm surprised my bf hasn't told me to shut up about the surgery..when I'm excited about something that's all I talk about lol. Good luck to you and hopefully things work out!

7 week long stall....:(
NewAshes replied to kittvalley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should try going back to a liquid diet or SOMETIMES eating some extra carbs/sweets does the trick. But I would suggest going back to liquids for a few days maybe even a week first -

I'm still pre op but I'm turning 21 in August...not really a problem since my surgery will be the end of this year but I was wondering are there better types of alcohol? I'm not really a drinker or a party girl but I do plan on having a few drinks on the coast in a casino with my family..I'm talking about alcohol post op as well..(not really a fan of whine or tequila) but what are some good low cal but good tasting drinks that I can also drink post op and won't kill me lol.

I started a thread the other day asking this. My first appointment is this Monday the 24th and my coordinator said I'm looking at surgery in December but going by that logic my 6 months would be tight and then the approval would have to go quick..she did say my insurance is a easy approval as long as I'm drug and tobacco free and complete my 6 months..I'm hoping to get it done this year so bad but it will suck to be healing during Christmas and New Years..
