    I use it and like it. I'm a month out and spent the first couple weeks bloated, full, and miserable on the whey shakes. My NUTs finally switched me to the egg Protein and I tolerate it well. I tried the chocolate too, but got the vanilla because it will mix into lots of things. Word of warning, the "unflavored" is gross, smells horribly of fish when you open the package, which turned my stomach and made me very resistant to try it. I did try a half scoop in some Soup and didn't taste it, so maybe you can stomach it, but the smell of it was a deal breaker for me. The vanilla is great though:) hope that helps.

    Full so fast

    Sounds a little like not much research was done. Some of the things you're venting bout are commonly known once you've spent some time researching. You are new to all this, as am I, so I expect it will all get easier and become just part of life as we get more experience doing it every day.

    This may be silly!

    I just bout a beautiful dress at Coldwater Creek, a size 12. I wear a 20 but its really stretchy material so I tried it, and it fit!!! Skin tight, but it went over my hips! And I've only lot about 22 lbs so far. It's great motivation. I also have a list of things I can't wait to buy that I've never been able to wear: Leggings with a short cute skirt A tight sheath dress in white linen or eyelet Lacy sexy panties and other lingerie Short skirts without chub-rub Linen dresses, same as above
  5. Thanks Laura:). Ordered chips, Cookies, and the cakes that bake in mugs. On mushys til 8/1 then I am getting into this box!!! REALLY over the cat food stage!!

    Op, I learned too that the whey was what was making me so sick. My NUT suggested trying Jay Robb egg white Protein and it has worked well for me. Still looking forward to leaving all shakes behind when I'm on solid foods, but the vanilla egg white protein saved me from a very bad place. You can get it at the Vitamin shoppe. chocolate is ok, but the unflavored is NASTY, smells like fish in the bag and tastes even worse:(

    Welcome Doug! I'm from Kalamazoo but vacationing at the beach in South Haven this week. Too hot!! A couple hours at the beach at a time is all I can stand, then it's back to my AC house!! The evenings and sunsets have been gorgeous though:)

  10. So I'm 235 and my weight seems to always just stay close to the same no matter what I do. Major diet attempts lose me maybe 3 pounds. Tried South Beach 2x and in the first two week "boot camp" they say you can expect to loose 8-13 pounds-- I lost 3. My metabolism is shot from a lifetime of dieting so I just know I will be a frustrated slow loser. I have my surgeon appt. in 3 days, and need to commit lots of $ and get a surgery date. I'm just second guessing my need for the surgery, thinking it will just be a very frustrations experience based on my other attempts to loose weight. I was totally committed, but after reading forums for months, I am starting to waffle. I really am not sure if this surgery will do what I'm hoping, and I have had so many times where I have REALLY tried, only to lose just a few pounds. Any advice? I'm feeling kind of desperate. Thanks.

  16. Having the hardest time with this. I'm really trying but there's just no way I can get all this in. I'm in the pureed stage. I am eating and drinking all the time, and SO FULL all the time but still have to keep putting more in when I don't want it! Major whey intolerance so my only powder is Jay Robb egg white Protein (24g) and I still can't stomach it more than once a day, plus trying to use real foods. Anyone have any great ideas?

    Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, applesauce, smoothly puréed meats - ugh- , egg salad, tuna, canned chicken, but they all need to be finely puréed. So tired of everything looking like cat food. I just started last week and have to do purees til 8/1, don't think I'll make it.

    I'm having diarrhea every day, ESP after eating my purees. Pretty much from day 1 but in the beginning it was whey intolerance causing it. Is this normal? Are you all experiencing it as well?

    Can't use Unjury or drink glasses of milk, as I said I have had lactose and whey intolerances:(

    ok glad to know I'm not alone in this. spent a lot of time last night looking up exactly what foods give me the biggest "bang for the buck" and will be sticking closer to them, less experimenting. yogurt, cottage cheese, meats basically. it seems I can do one goal or the other, just not both. depends on what I focus on that day, and maybe I'll go back and forth for a while til I can attain both.
  22. I'm having worse shoulder and neck pain now than in the days after surgery. It's right across the top back of my shoulders and into my neck. Is this still gas or not? I've been taking at least one good walk a day and working. I'm an artist, so I work at home making things and shipping. I do everything myself except lifting heavy packages. I started working on easy small stuff about 4days after returning home. Do you think this pain is caused by gas or by over-doing it with work? I had gas after a c-section but I don't recall it lasting this long. Thanks.

    This may be TMI but...

    yup. major diarrhea on protein shakes. I didn't tolerate them - bloating, sick, nausea-- but the whole time I had major dark nasty diarrhea.
