Hi, you're going to need Probiotics for the stomach churning. Drink liquid protein from GNC store, it's good, also, as much water as you can handle. Good Luck! -

LINDANACK replied to Richard Foor's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Rich, how did you lose so much, it wasn't just by dieting, what else did you take? I had my surgery same time and I've lost only 68 lbs. I want to lose more and faster, what's the secret? Linda -

Hi,I'm 65. Had the sleeve done 12/19 this yr. I had stomach problems all the way through. I discovered my stomach flora is too acidic since my surgery and I'm doing everything I can for it at present. I'm on a probiotic and I just read the book, "60 Seconds to Slim". It tells you all the things you need to eat to reduce acid, lose weight and the proper nutrition necessary for weight loss. These days I'm feeling better and losing weight is now easy. I've lost 70 lbs. so far, only have to lose another 150 lbs. As you see, this is a life altering process. The good side is that I have been writing to an old flame of 50 years ago and he wants to go out with me, and he's seen my picture too. How do you like that?

Best self-pay price in Southern California?
LINDANACK replied to ProudMama's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had the same trouble with my insurance not picking up the GS. I just waited. Yours will get on board too, it's the most popular of all and the safest, they have to get on board. -
Almost at maintenance...and I'm super scared!

Almonds very good for you, but organic please. Pumpkin seeds and brazil nuts and walnuts all very healthy choices. Good for you on the weight loss. I'm only down 60 in 5 mo. I must be cheating. -

Nothing is stopping you from changing Drs. Your paperwork should be transferable.

I drink 50-60 gr of protein a day. You'll get your energy back and you won't lose your hair. We need as much protein as we can consume after this ordeal.

Shooting pain..left side incision..what can it be?
LINDANACK replied to dat_sweetmami's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Don't worry about not being able to eat, you won't starve. Your body requires very little to survive. As for the pain in the left side, I've had that for 4 mo. already, Just guessing, I think the rod they put into us must lie on top of our spleen. By letting it lie ther during the whole operation, that organ feels abused. I'm guessing of course, but it is logical. Eventually it will lessen. -
Weight gain six weeks out...
LINDANACK replied to Hopeful in Rochester's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
How about inches lost, are you watching that? Sometimes the scale takes forever to drop down so look at the inches lost and if they are coming down, then just hang in there. It will come. -
Are you drinking 50-60 oz. of protein a day?

Try the liquid Lean Shakes from GNC. I lived on them for months. I get the oragnce powder and mix that with my milk, it's excellent. Taste like a dreamsickle. I drink the liquid choc. I like them a lot. -
Has the sleeve not worked for you?
LINDANACK replied to tannak's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm sorry to admit that this operation was indeed a big mistake for me. I don't wish to expand on it for fear of daunting others hopes. -
Two and 1/2 Years Out, Life is Great, but have one Question
LINDANACK replied to mmcclure's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Marilee; I too am a bad diabetci and I still can't get mine under control. It's been 4-5 mo. already. I too, have sugar cravings to kill for. I saw a Health sponsored documentary the other night and I wish you would have seen it too. It told how the gov't is politically orchestrayted by big industry like McDonalds, the beef industry, the sugar cane industry and all the different soda industries and how they have, over the last 28 years, turned America into sugar 'attics'. It gave statistics on obesity, child obesity and how diabetes is at an all time danger for our children. It stuned me to see how big business does not care about our children, let alone, us. They are doing their level best to get us hooked early in life, and keeping us hooked. It was enough to make you cry, rape! Rape of our innocense, our trust in Gov't to stop them, rape of children to look to their of future with hope for normal nutrition in the schools, at home, and at the local stores. So you see, you are caught up in that sugar addiction and you need to get off it. 2-3 days without any sugar will set you back on the right track. Carbs will raise your blood sugar too. You don't need sweets. As for your glucose rising to 179, well it will after you eat all that sugar. As long as it came down again, that's what is imp. Just try to give up candy. I go for long periods and then fall again too. Also, I read on one of those health letters that if you crave sweets, you're lacking Chromium, carbon Phosphorus,Sulfur, and Tryptophan. It works. Good luck. -
