    getting grocery list together....finally

My surgery is Monday, too! I have clear Isopure for the first few days, and then I'll be sending my family on a mission to get more stuff later on. I can't believe the surgery is two days away!

    POSE VS SLEEVE SURGERY

Dr. Borland charges $9,800. I thought about going through Dr. Lavin's office, but I went with Dr. Borland mainly b/c of price. I also got better vibes from Borland's office and staff, so I think it's just the better fit for me. I'm scheduled for May 6!

    POSE VS SLEEVE SURGERY

I attended a seminar at Dr. Lavin's office because I was considering POSE as well. There's a weight loss forum from the UK where patients rave about the procedure for the first few months and then all of the sudden, it was like they had never had the surgery. A lawsuit ensued, but i'm not sure what happened after that. I know there were numerous dissatisfied customers. I went into the seminar already feeling skeptical about it, but I wanted to hear how they "sold" it. The doctor doing the seminar (a partner of Dr. Lavin's) merely glossed over it (along with the lap band). So in short, I don't think POSE is gaining the popularity that they thought it would. It's also around $13,000. I'm scheduled for the sleeve with Dr Borland in New Iberia on May 6.

Just got my date- May 6!

I have the same date, too. I'm so excited!
  7. Hi guys. I'm seriously considering having VSG in late April, and I had a question regarding hunger after surgery. The only time I've lost weight successfully (and pretty easily although I was careful) was when I took sibutramine (most known as Meridia). I was wondering if anyone could make any comparisons between VSG and prescription weight loss pills just as far as hunger is concerned. The idea of not being hungry is very foreign to me with the exception of taking pills. Any thoughts of words of encouragement would be appreciated!
