You look incredible! -
Don't beat yourself up. Everyone falls off of the wagon at some point. The most important thing is to get back on track an stay motivated!

I was also sleeved by Dr. Borland with very low risk factors. He was incredible. By the time I got to the hotel (rode easily in the car wearing my seatbelt and everything), he was there for my night time check in. I felt completely safe the whole time. It's definitely a personal decision, though! Good luck to you!

I was also sleeved by Dr. Borland. Absolutely worth it!

I'm 6 weeks out, too! Turkey meatballs and cauliflower crust pizza have satisfied the "I want something delicious" feeling for me. I'd love other ideas as well!

7 weeks out and no energy
katherinec replied to mimimcd's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm about 6 weeks out and am having the same issue. No complications. Taking vitamins, getting protein and water. I had a B12 shot a few weeks ago when I went for my 2nd follow-up appointment, but I didn't notice much of a difference. We might just have to ride this out... -

How do you tell if your full
katherinec replied to jd1988's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same here! I don't have a nutritionist, so I'm sort of on my own. -
I was sleeved May 6, and I move to the puree phase this evening. I had some (really delicious!) mashed potatoes. I'm nervous, though, because they didn't make me full. Maybe I just didn't let it get to that point? I was able to eat more than I thought I would and I'm a little scared now. I did get a sense of fullness on full liquids. Any insight? I'd really like for my sleeve to tell me that I'm filling up.

Thanks! I know I still have a lot to learn as I'm only 2 weeks out. I'll just have to be careful!

Oh, they pull out the calendar at the end of the appointment, so be ready to set a date. Congrats! He's a wonderful doctor, and the staff is excellent!

I was sleeved by Dr. Borland on May 6. It was painless! as far as hunger, I thought I had some, but I think it's just a little gurgling that sort of feels like hunger. I go back for my one week post-op, so I'm anxious to hear what he has to say. No regrets!

Hi guys. I was sleeved on May 6 and have had a very smooth recovery so far. I'm having trouble getting my protein in (I cannot stomach the isopure), but I've been drinking water and vitamin water and G2 Gatorade. Anyway, it's recommended that I drink 3-4 oz every hour. I woke up and drank about 20 oz of G2. My question is: Is drinking more than 3-4 oz/hr harmful? Will it stretch my stomach?

Thanks!

Thanks!

A little over an hour. My stomach is fine, and I certainly didn't chug it. I just took frequent sips. I guess I'll just be glad I can get it down. Thanks for your response!
-
CoreyCan, thanks for your input. I was sleeved on Monday (May 6), and I just can't get my proteins in. The taste of the clear isopure drinks is awful to me, but I still try and take a few sips of it every day. I know that when I move to full liquids next week, I'll have more success. other than the protein issue, I'm having an easy recovery!

I go in on the 6th as well. We're all going to do great! -
I second everything rickyswife said! I'm being sleeved on Monday, and I need to read threads like this one!
