I had The sleeve exactly 2 weeks ago. I'm still always hungry I'm very miserable and cranky. I had the surgery to curb my appetite and obviously to eat less I'm not sure it's going to do either. Does anyone out there feel the same way. But had a good outcome in the long run? Positive thoughts are always the way to go but I can't seem to muscle up any.

I WANT A DIET COKE SO BAD...HOW CAN I FLAT IT OUT
Ms24 replied to dat_sweetmami's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I didn't say they shouldn't have soda, more like they should try to avoid it. I understand the soda Craving I used to crave it once a month. Not my place to tell people what to do. But my surgeon however did tell me that Carbonated beverages could land you in the hospital they make you gassy ect .. I myself had never drink diet soda I drink regular. Although I am overweight I am very health-conscious despite my soda habit. So I don't understand how people don't get how toxics soda and how more toxic diet soda is. I find soda to be a a gateway and happier finally gave it up. I personally did not get the surgery three years ago because I was not ready to give up carbonated beverages. I'm ready now. -

Hi. I would just try to avoid the Diet Coke. It has a bunch of nasty chemicals that are addicting. I gave up soda trying to prep for the surgery, I had some on Thanksgiving and I swear I felt my stomach fizzle. I will try to avoid soda for the rest of my life if I have the willpower… I will give into other carbonated beverages such as champagne once I reach my goal. Good luck. And remember looking good and health are the main reasons we had the surgery. -
The key is Protein. I found this website on the web that has different brands of high-protein foods from Jell-O to rice crispy treats and more. All high-protein it's geared for gastric bypass patients. I will logon tomorrow and give you the name. How are you feeling otherwise?

I am very excited yet very nervous I'm having my surgery in two weeks… Thought about it for three years, waiting for approval for things to work out with my insurance for about a year. I think I went overboard with the high protein foods. My lowest weight was about 107 my highest was 270. I would love to go down to about 95. I am 4"11. Fingers crossed everybody
