I bought it in store. I'm going to try the mixture if not my husband will drink them. He's my "garbage disposal" :-)

I bought the alpine punch thinking I'd like it but I just don't. I should've gotten the grape one. The bad part is I bought a whole case. So now I have to drink them. I'm going to try with crystal light and ice.

I think the premier protein shakes (chocolate). I get them at Sams. I'm 5 days post op so just started to reintroduce it back into my diet. So far so good :-)

Info about Dr Webb or Memorial Hospital

Also if anyone is going to spend the night with you tell them to bring a comfy pillow cause the chairs they have SUCK and the bed they have you lay on moves constantly. I actually slept in the recliner most of the time and my poor husband in the other chair they have. -
Info about Dr Webb or Memorial Hospital

I jut had my surgery at Memorial with Dr. Baptista. I had a good experience there. My only complaint (which is kinda my fault) is they had such an issue getting my IV started. Two nurses had to try and after being stabbed 6 times they finally got one to take. But my veins are rollers so that didn't help on top of not eating for 4 days. Best of luck. The nurses in recovery are really nice except for the waking you up in the middle of the night to check your blood pressure. -
Is it normal to feel scared to take my gummie vitamins after surgery?? I don't know if my stomach will tolerate it.

Multi vitamins after surgery

I took one today and it went well. I'll try two in the next coming days. -
Just a question for those of you in the "food" stage after surgery what kind of bean were you eating?? A lot of people say that they eat refried beans I was thinking about lentil beans. I know it's all a learning process so it's going to be fun and interesting to see how my taste buds have changed.

I'm not a huge fan of Greek yogurt but I guess I'll have to start to like it. Or try it at least.

I know the chewing part is going to be the biggest challenge for me.

My second night home after having surgery on Friday and I hate my couch already. Getting out of my bed was painful yesterday so I'm hoping sleeping on my bed won't be as painful tonight. I guess we will see in the morning.

Second night home

I've found that laying on my right side is doable. I have one blanket kinda under my stomach to keep it from pulling on my left side. But I have a feeling that my right hip will be complaining in the morning. I guess we will see how it goes. I thought I wouldn't have a problem on my recliner since I slept in it for two weeks after I had my c section but what a difference 6 years make. -
I'm feeling good. The only pain is the tugging feeling in my belly button. I'm taking 2 weeks off from work. I think it's going to be the best two weeks ever!!!

You look AWESOME!!! I just got sleeved on Friday and would love to know what you did/are doing to have sooo much success. -
I had surgery on Friday (7/19) and the first day I had really bad gas pain. But the second day it was gone and the only pain I was dealing with is the pulling at the belly button. I am currently not taking any pain meds. I had no drain tubes and no catheter. Best of luck!! The hardest part for me was drinking the first day. Now I'm going better.

flyme_places replied to sureaboutme2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me too. I had to stay an extra night in the hospital due to nausea and liquid intake. I'm feeling fine now just the usually pulling feeling at the belly button. Have my sofa all ready for me to sleep on. Kinda hard to get in and out of my bed. Congrats!!! -

Finally home from the hospital and I never thought I wouldn't like jello. Tired to eat it at the hospital and it made me nauseous. Hopefully that will pass. I guess it's water And Popsicles for now. -
Today is the Day. The weird thing is that I'm not nervous. But I guess that will come later when I get to the hospital. Surgery time is 945 but have to be at the hospital two hours early. To all my fellow July 19th sleevers Good luck!

Getting closer. I go in for my pre op with the drug nurse today, then surgery tomorrow. It's kinda weird I don't feel excited or nervous. I'm in a nice state of calmness right now. -
