Is vomiting going to be the new normal?
KimmieMarie replied to takingbackcontrol's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Never vomited or have even come close so far. 6 weeks out. -
Its not likely with the sleeve...its usually 1-3 days minimum. I was in for 2 and had absolutely no complications. Recovery was really quick too.

Relaxing on the 30/30 rule?
KimmieMarie replied to mysleevemylife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Doc said can drink up to 3 min before meal but to try and wait 30-40 min after. He said the after part is most important. He said to think of a canned good...when you put two holes in it and hold it upside down it kind of bubbles and pours out slowly. Think of only one hole in the can w/ the sleeve. Only so much can fit on the stomach pouch at one time...when you try and drink water, he said its possible that it may not go through and is more likely to cause one to puke. Sounds odd but he is the one whose been doing this forever. -

How did you handle life after your body Changed?
KimmieMarie posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am almost 4 weeks post op and am very determined to walk the straight and narrow path towards my goal weight. I know many people who litterally LOST THEIR MINDS when they started getting attention from men. Parties, drinking, and men men men. I also have a loving boyfriend who I do NOT want to stray from because I become so full of myself. My goal is to use my newfound health to open up and grow as a woman. I am 28 and want to do things that I wasn't able to do before. I want to go backpacking again, white Water rafting, learn new skills, travel....so many things that just seem so much more appealing than drinking, partying, messing around. I would like some input from those long-term sleevers. Please tell me how you handled all of it...what you did to prevent yourself from going down the wrong path? Thanks:) -
Any March Sleevers?
KimmieMarie replied to futuresleever's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
March 22 sleever... kimberly561985@hotmail.com. Thanks!! -
I am on day 12 and am having a hard time with liquids only. I love my protein shakes but i crave warm soup and am not a huge fan of broth. My saving grace has been campbells bean soup. I mush up the beans real good and water it down...put some cayenne pepper in it for some spice and i am in heaven. Can usually only consume 5-6 small spoonfools at a time so one can goes a long way. Lots of protein too!

Oh yes. 10 days worth. I stick myself one last time tomorrow. My belly is all purple from them...they hurt so much. How long do u have to do them for?

quickly full but hungry every couple hours
KimmieMarie replied to KimmieMarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Cant imagine...must be nice to not be hungry. How does that happen?! Lol. Thanks for all the feedback guys. I deff dont feel alone in all this. I cant believe i consumed 1100 calories today though...100 gram Protein. May have overdone it today. -
And also Vitamin d milk with the sugar free pudding packets? I figured that skim has more sugar-not enough stuff thats good for you.

I know this is a little left field...but what about mushed up bean and bacon soup? Im on week 2 now...been doing mushy soups...what does everyone think about this?

quickly full but hungry every couple hours

9 days post op. I am so TIRED of hearing all these people talk about how much they dont want food...have no desire...not tempted at all by anything. I just dont get it. I do get full quickly...but i am hungry just about every 2-3 hours. When i get out in the real world...bad food teases me. However i dont give in...i am doing very well. This just seems normal even with having wls. Can some please tell me if they are having the same issues and how they are dealing with it. I just dont get how having this surgery can just totally make a person just not want food at all???? -
