Sounds like a simple solution... Just try it first, before you go to church -

Freaking out a little - Tomorrow is the day
Recycled replied to Addawn's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The circus is in town and their "fat lady" died and now there is a job opening......( I know, really crass, but it needed to be said) Really, just relax. 6 months from now you will be so back to normal, that it will seem like you never had any surgery. And your life will be changed forever. Now, about tomorrow......here's a little trick that will help you with the nerves. They're gonna be in and out a dozen times before your surgery to take your BP and heart rate. Everytime they come in......close your eyes and relax, thinking of a serene, enjoyable event or place and breathe deeply and slowly, feeling your body relaxing.....challenging yourself to lower you BP to as low as you can get it. It's a really cool game that will help you to concentrate and relax. You'll feel better and more in control. Good luck tomorrow.....you're gonna do just fine. -
Genepro Users-check this out.

While I get what the controversy on the whole 15-30 grams thing is all about......if someone does in fact have a product that can effectively amount to an end result of more absorption per gram than the others.....exactly how would you market it so the consumer can relate to the benefits. If it is not apples for apples, it can't be compared the same. Example - Take a car that travels at 50 mph for a distance of 30 miles to a destination. However the engine is very inefficient and only gets 10 miles per gallon using 3 gallons of gas to get there. Along comes another vehicle that is much more efficiently tuned and travelling at the same 50 mph, gets 30 miles to the gallon and only uses one gallon of gas. Result - same distance, same speed 1/3 less gas. ergo: same grams of Protein, less product. All I'm saying is, I get their principle and can use the product accordingly. If I get good results, I'll continue to use it. Besides, everything else I've tried tastes like crap......and this is tasteless. -
Endoscopy -- what to expect

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. ....enjoy the nap and take the rest of the day off -
I had both knees replaced a little over two years ago and the results were so good I decided not to jeopardize their lifespan by remaining obese. So Jan of 2014 I got sleeved. Now down over 120 lbs I cannot believe the difference. I bike over 15 miles every night, hit the gym a few times a week and I'm planning on going snow skiing again in March. (first time in over 10 years). And I'm 63. My advice......if you need it.....don't wait. And if you get it....."ice and elevate"

? About Genepro unflavored
Recycled replied to MamaTo3inNH's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
It will turn Water cloudy and changes the taste. However I use it in almost everything else. I put it in my milk with Kashi, mixed into my fried eggs, in my Green Giant Steamers (veggies). It blends really well and it mostly undetectable. -
I heard it was on the fifth day of the tenth month, during a full moon in the am hours......and if you miss the window.....that's it. The skin will firm no more...... I missed my window......

Enjoy the honeymoon stage.....but as you have already stated.....prepare yourself for the stalls. I lost the majority of my weight in the first 6 months....easily and fast......then the rest was a real effort and very very slow. Plus, the hunger desires start to return. Congrats so far....hang tough and stay the course. Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal MyFitnessPal.com.html

Vitamin Blender - anyone have one for after surgery?
Recycled replied to suitechicguy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey, I bought a Blendtec (same thing). Great blender, but the bottom line is, you're not gonna be blending everything for very long. So I only use it occasionally to make smoothies. The ads are enticing but they make it seems that you'll be blending all the time. Once you get to whole food, that's pretty much it. Can't really use it for Protein powders, as it creates way too much foamy froth. I use mine mostly to make popsicles and smoothies. (be sure to use frozen fruit) long story short......you can get away with a standard blender. - cheaper. -
What is the downside?

I know what you mean.....however it's probably the first time in my life I didn't care that the pants I bought last month, which are still like new......no longer fit....... -
SCARS - getting rid of them
Recycled replied to Chrisi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I doubt it will help you, but most likely, testosterone did it for me. When the body hair grew back, it covered the scars pretty well... . Sorry, couldn't help it...... -
What is the downside?

In my post op room and struggling bad
Recycled replied to monopoly2015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tell 'em to give you anti-nausea meds. Also surely they have you on IV fluids so skip the drinking and ask for ice chips and a sponge on a stick to moisten your dry lips without drinking. -
For newbies, I'm Just starting the process......wait a minute, that can't be right.
Recycled replied to Recycled's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Haleyk, Ya know, I was obsessed too in the before stage.....maybe i was just trying to find enough info to get serious about it......cause I really didn't seem to be...... I didn't lose a single pound on the six month deal. In fact, I ate more......kinda like a ritual farewell to foods I thought I'd be giving up....(not really, I just liked eating them). You certainly wake up and take it serious after the surgery.(I know, a no brainer) And that is when the thrill of coming out of the shadows and feeling good about yourself will start to appear. You will feel the change first and then see it and each day after the next will be better. Good Luck. -

Hey, squeaky wheel gets the grease..........Speak up! They got wicked pain meds they can give you.....no need to endure the pain needlessly. Tell them the pain is a "10" and you want stronger meds. Keep in mind, once they give you something weaker and it doesn't work, they can't give you more until later......so know what they're giving you and request more effective meds. (ie: morphine, dilaudid etc.) And as far as the gas pains.......maybe some Gas-X might help, but as everyone is saying, walking is the most effective method of elimination and relief. Try to get some sleep too.....makes the time go by faster.....and time is the only real healer. It'll be behind you in no time.....hang in there. -
Finally......finally.....finally.....Onederland.......
Recycled posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Well, at just over a year from surgery, I finally reached onederland and I can see the finish line...... I just can't express what a great feeling it is....... -
Can't help ya on this one.....got rid of mine when I lost the weight..... pay no attention to me.....I do not belong in here, but I couldn't resist....... but as an added note, I probably coulda used one when I was obese.
-
If you think the pre-op loss is a thrill......you are in for total exhilaration.....later.. Good job and good attitude. You're gonna do fine.
-
No suggestions.....but a definite "what you need to do"....bit of advice... Just keep doing what you're doing.....it's only a routine stall and you will resume losing.........and stalling and losing......got the idea..... completely normal.
-
my number one rule......"never buy anything at the doctors office"......they're rich enough.....(and I'm not) And you're right about costco......I buy alot of stuff there.... and thanks to my Vacuum Sealer, I can package most bulk stuff in smaller sleeve size meals for the freezer.
-
Here's my advice.......as long as you stay motivated and stick with the process.....just enjoy the losses as they come and keep at it........It will continue !!! It feels slow, but you will keep losing. And the pounds will continue to add up and you will keep getting closer and closer to your goal. What feels good today will feel even greater in a couple of weeks. Soon you will settle in and relax knowing you will get there. I am getting so used to my new bod, I constantly look back on the very few pics I ever took of me obese to constantly remind me and to keep me strong willed to avoid any backsliding. I used to keep all my clothes in my closet as I outgrew them (hoping I would fit in them again someday) Now my closet only has all new stuff......even the smallest ones I kept became too big. Goodwill got everything else. Keep up the good work dude.....See you at your goal...

Follow-up....... It's amazing how a milestone can feel so elusive or distant along the way and then when we reach it......we can't wait to set an even more difficult one.... I just reached my "onederland" milestone and in almost the next breath, I anxiously jumped ahead of the goal I set at the beginning.........and secretly was thinking I might even pushing my ultimate goal to losing a few more pounds past my original goal, to give me some fudge (whoops, poor choice of words)......wiggle room later when I'm in maintenance. This process can get addictive......in a good way.... Oh, well.....who am I to argue.....all smiles here......Everyone have a great day....
