I love Tazo tea, but will have to get decaf tea next time. Trying to prepare, little by little to have things at home before I get sleeved! Already have a few diff flavored little bottles of liquid crystal light, muscle milk & premier protein shakes.

I have my first appointment with the surgeon tomorrow! I've had all my other appointments so far, except for the one with the exercise physiologist. That's scheduled for May 6th. I've been pushed through some steps out of order because I told them I really need summer surgery. Don't know if they can schedule me for summer surgery but the program manager of the weight loss center out of my local hospital has been pushing me along with all my different appointments to give me a better chance of getting in by then. I'm not exactly sure what to expect tomorrow but I had to write a "letter of intent" specifying what my reasons are for obtaining bariatric surgery, exactly what I expect out of surgery, my knowledge & understanding about the procedure, my knowledge & understanding about the post op lifestyle changes, what changes I will personally make following surgery, & how I will get support. Did anyone else have to do this??? Other than the doc going over my letter, I have no clue what this visit will involve with him. I guess it's my opportunity to ask questions. I don't even know what to ask??? What do you all think?

Hi Aries, That was very kind of you to post that thread about donating to OK Tornado victims. If I may add, there are probably lots of local businesses doing things to help the tornado victims in everyone's home town. If you're like me & $10 makes a major dent in the weekly budget...please do something, anything. I'm an extreme couponer so I have a lot of the stuff they announced on the news that is needed (toothbrushes/paste/mouthwash/ feminine hygiene items/soap/canned food ~ which doesn't need to be cooked to eat~ as well as pet food & all types of baby items, etc...) We have a local furniture store (which is a huge chain here in MI) & they are collecting items at each of their stores, so that's where I'll be donating my goods too. We all gave up drinking soda too & we had about 30 two liter bottles of soda which we will donate, as well as allergy meds & aspirin (I'm totally surprised they'll take meds but none of the packages I have are open of course.) Point being, there are many diff ways you can donate & if you can't, please pray for these people to be able to find peace & strength in what's happened there. Sincerely, Pixie Dust

That was very brave of you! If it makes you happy & feel lighter from the setting the truth free, then I'm right behind you, supporting you. As for me, I will keep it personal & private. I just don't have the strength to deal with the negativity & I know that's what I'll get from extended family members. It's a personal decision for everyone but I'm so glad it will work out for you!

My cousin had WLS too a few years back & she shopped at Thrift stores too. She would tell me of designer wear she would buy for $10! I just don't have the patience to sift thru everything because the two nearest me don't have anything filed in order. They just stick all the clothes on a rack & you have to go thru each & every one to find the size you're looking for. I can't handle that!

This surgery cures the night sweats????!!!!! Seriously?????!!!! SIGN ME UP FOR SURGERY TODAY!!!!! I just can't wait to feel like I have more energy too! I'm always dragging it seems! I get a good work out just carrying all this excess weight around, so I get good exercise!

I'm a pre-sleever & even I cringed reading your post! I can't help you but I will wish you the best & hope that nothing has been damaged. Please take care of yourself...if you don't...no one can help you. You went thru a huge ordeal, so I'm sure you won't repeat it, no matter how badly you want something.

I was just going thru the costco coupon booklet, which we get in the mail & there is a $5 off coupon for the Premier Protein shakes, chocolate and/or vanilla flavor, 18/11 oz containers! If you do not get a coupon book in the mail, then go to the Customer Service Desk & they just have them usually laying on the counter. Otherwise, just say you didn't get one this month (they are usually sent to the Executive Member Card Holders but anyone can use the coupons & they are for every card holder too!) I'm going to finally get a box or two today. I hope I'll like them! Usually people rave about this brand....lets hope! Wish I could taste them first. The good thing about Costco is that if you don't like them, you can return them! Happy Shopping!
