Feel much better knowing that I am not the only one that had the reflux issue. Initially lost 90 lbs. Doctor loosened the band and I ballooned up 50 lbs. He is no longer a part of the facility I had my procedure done. Didn't realize that the weight was coming back so quickly until could not fit into jeans. Trying to get back on track. Appreciate the support for all through this support group.

A thread for super-sized bandsters - starting BMI over 50?

Hi Bev, It is very hard....I was banded on 5/4/07and have had 3 fills. There are times when I feel the same as before the band. I struggle every day with the food concept. I was 275 lbs. before the band and now at 235. I feel like I am stuck but am forging ahead. Keep your head up......we did not get this way overnight. Get your fill.....just wait until you purge your closet for the first time. Got rid of all my size 22 and 24's, have a few size 20. That felt great...... -
I have really been struggling with the diet part. I feel like I am stuck at the 38 lb. mark. I have noticed a vast difference in clothing. Purged my closet of the size 22 and 24's. I can now were a size 18 comfortably. But still struggle with the restrictions. I have had three fills and still do not fill like the amount of food I eat is restricted. HELP ME TO STAY FOCUSED.:help::help::help:

Surgery date 5/4/07......total of 29 lbs lost:clap2:. I have had one fill but still feel hungry at times. Trying my best to stick to the plan....very hard. I have not had any complications. No vomiting, just bm problems once I started on solid foods. I find myself looking at everything I eat.....trying not to snack and when I do find jello-sugarfree with is only 10 calories to be satisfying. Nuts are very high in calories. Will go back on the 18th of July....definitely will get another fill. Do not want to eat the way I used to. Find it is true that I am an emotional eater. thanks for listening. -
