Hello everyone My surgery was scheduled for tomarrow and I just got a call from my surgeon's office that my HCG levels were 25000 and there's a chance Iam pregnant. So I went and did the test and to my surprise it is positive! Although I am happy but I am so worried about the weight gain during pregnancy as I already am 221# and 5'2. Plus I have to do all the pre-req for the surgeries all over again next year after the baby and iam worried if the insurance will approve me then or not. Just wanted to see if anyone here ever went through this or something similar.? I just gor a call saying my surgeon is cancelling my surgery for April 10th because I am preggers! I am in a shock! I am not even late and I was regular + all the appointments, tests, psych evals, counseling and on top of that I was on 5 day of liqui diet. Everything has to be redone after a year and what are the chances if my insurance.will approve me again or not, since I didn't have any Comorbiditys. Iam 221 and 5'2, just got lucky this time with my insurance. Oh and don't forget the weight.gain during pregnancy! I am so nervous right now, don't get me wrong I am very happy but i.had every.thing planned for the new life without all this weight.. Your positivity is highly appreciated. Usually insurance will get back within 5 days, don't worry. and then your pre surgery class, preop visit with d nguyen and preop testing at valley care and off you go..iam saying all this because I just went through these steps few days ago,.and thenjust a day before my sleeve they called and said I was pregnant and canceled my surgery Well goodluck to you and keep us posted. Hello everyone I am asking this for a friend of mine who recently had her gastric sleeve surgery. She was expecting her routinely cycle during the surgery, however 3 weeks postop she found out she is preggers! It seems like she was pregnant while in surgery. She is freaking out and by all means it is very scary..she is going to see her obgyn on monday, but I just thought I should post here and see if anyone was ever in a similar boat? I know someone concieved 2 weeks post op,, but I would,like to know if someone was concieved pre op and didnt knew until after surgery. What are the effects of anesthesia and the surgery itself and the pain meds?? By the way she is only 2 weeks when she had her sleeve surgery. Thanks for your answers in advanced everyone. Thanks for the update, my friend went to see her ob too, they will have to do a scan when she is 10.weeks I guess, so far she is holding up well. Out of curiosity I wanted to ask how has your post op nutrition been? what Vitamins are you? Regular and prenates? How do you get in your caloric intake? Last but not least, have you lost any #s? My name is Alisha and I am 26. current weight 216, height 5.2 I have family history of diabetese, stroke, cholestrol, sleep Apnea, hypertension, kidney disease. Infact my mom has all of these conditions on top of morbid obeisity,, she is currently in the process of gastric sleeve surgery. When I went with her to her appointments I had a realization what uf I become this in the upcoming years. So far I dont have any comorbiditys but I am very overweight and ubhealthy weight wise. I have done many diets and programs only to gain all that back. I thought since my mom has sleep apnea, I might too and that will help me getting appricedr. By the way my bmi is 39.5 I have thyroid and currently take methimazole 5mg. I also have chronic constipation and chronic fatigue syndrome due to thyroid. My thyroid is hyper BUT I have all the symptoms of hypo, I know its weird, the docs cant seem to explain that either. Anyways when I went for my sleep apnea results and it appears I don't have it, but the doc suggested to get MSLT done.. It is multiple sleep latency test since i.have all.the apnea symptoms. Did anyone else had to go through this? Iam so scared that I won't be approved by my insurance. I have no other Comorbidities but due to my family history I am very prone to all these problems. I am seeing a bariatric surgean and finished all their requirements like nut, psych, barium swallow, ekg,.blood work etc. I so hope this works out, I really want a.fresh start to being healthy. thank you for listening, this forum has been a great treasure and I truly appreciate each and everyones input. I just wanted to share with you guys, I got my surgery date. My sleeve is on April 9th with Dr. Nguyen at valley care. I have my preop at.the valley care hosp tomarrow and with Dr Nguyen on the 4th. Bellamthin, I got approved, even though I didn't have sleep Apnea but the doctor recommended I should do a MSLT test. I got lucky I fuess. Submitted my docs on monday to my insurance and they approved me on fri. Tomarrow my coordinator will give me the surgery date.. I am so nervous and excited. A Sent from my S Galaxy using VST

Oh my Gosh! I am approved! my paperwork was submitted on Monday and today I got a call saying I was approved. Now I am just.waiting.for the coordinator to schedule a date for surgery. Mswanson502, the h pylori results usually come within a week and if its positive they put you on antibiotics fir 14 days which takes care of it and they can retest you to make sure. Good luck! Sent from my S Galaxy using VST
