What size is everyone in now? I'm getting rid of a bunch of size 26 clothes to make room for the smaller sizes I've been buying slowly at yard sales and the goodwill. Does anyone want these clothes? They're mostly businessy stuff now. After I lose more weight I'll have a lot of casual 26's to give away. If anyone has anything smaller than a 24 that they'd like to give away, please let me know. I'll pay postage! :-)

10.5 lbs lost in a week and a half (5 days of which I was on the pre-op diet). I'm so dizzy! At least the weekend is here now so I can take it easy.... Good luck everyone that's being banded over the next few days!!

I've been wondering this for a few weeks now and thought I'd throw it out there. Has anyone been able to find any kind of research on using girldes,etc and the effectiveness on the skin issue we'll all be having? I am wondering if I keep moisturized and use a girldle on my waiste plus tight leggines or something on my legs and arms if the skin will "shrink" faster? My stomach looks like crap after being heavy AND having a baby... I'm sure I'lle ventually do the plastic surgery, but in the meantime I want to do as much as I can!

Becky that is EXACTLY how I feel about guys. They've been so mean to me, I can't ever imagine trusting one enough now. I've been in elevators with groups of men that just make fun of me, where I can't get out! One time when I was 6months pregnant a guy starting singing "i want my babyback babyback..." out loud in the middle of the street. In a "fat bastard" voice, though. I've been single for so long, I feel like I don't even need guys ( I don't!). I'm starting to think that all the "weird cat ladies" I used to make fun of when I was little have the right idea. Except instead of cats I'll keep my guinea pigs and daughter and call it a day! God, it's so nice to see someone else thinking the same thoughts I do. I really felt so alone up until I found this message board!!!

I knew that was going to happen to me, too, so I started filtering out people that aren't good for me weeks ago. It's been sort of freeing, actually. I know they'll come running back when I'm thin and aren't an embarrassment at the beach anymore, and I like knowing that when they do I'll turn them down because I'll be hanging out with the people that have always been good to me. That number may be small, but it's worth so much more to me! Hang in there. I feel your pain but you're strong and you'll get much further in life than them! 12 days - OMG. I don't know how I'm going to get through this time!

Thanks for the warm welcome! First day of pre-op diet DONE. I bought a bunch of craft stuff over the last few weeks to keep me busy. Tonight I taught myself bead-loom-whatever weaving and made a silly bracelet. Tomorrow, maybe painting! Goodnight everyone and thanks. Hello! I'm new to this board as of today, although I've been reading for a few weeks now. I got my date last week, I'm going in on June 12th in CT for my band. My heartburn has been HORRIBLE on this pre-op diet and my headache just will not go away. I hope this all stops soon. I almost wish I could take off the next two weeks and just sleep through all of this discomfort! It's been great reading all of these stories. I'll be sure to track my progress! There are a lot of posts on this thread and I haven't had a chance to read all of them yet, but anyone else here getting banded on June 12th or getting banded this month in CT? Nice to meet you! My doctor wouldn't let me submit my insurance "package" until everything was done, including my nutritional visit. Once I was approved it took 3-4 days to get my surgery date, which was 3 weeks out. It's a frustrating process. I hope it goes smoothly for you!

My diet seems a bit different than those posted here. My surgery is on June 12th and so today I start my pre-op diet. I'm allowed 1,000 calories a day with little to no fat. Two days before the diet I am on a clear liquids-only diet. I'm not supposed to have caffeine..... I'm going to try to wean myself slowly rather than quit cold turkey. Last time I tried to go off of caffeine I thought I was dying for two days. :phanvan
