    This New Site

Are there any updates to this? It looks like I still do not have the option to not see all the surgery types in forums. I liked just seeing VSG stuff & the community I had gotten to know. With all the other stuff thrown in I have to scroll forever to see what I want. I get that some people want to see everything, but some of us don't. Would be nice to have the option. I've pretty much stopped using the site because I mainly access it from my phone & it's just gotten too hard to use. Does anyone know of any other VSG-specific sites?

    Best and worst "compliments"

Yesterday a male friend told me my butt looks good. That's my favorite one so far, because I have always hated my butt at ANY weight, so to hear someone compliment that of all things was nice! My worst one is still my sister saying about me "she's lost a truckload, she only has half a truck to go". I'd like to run over her with my half a truck.

All The Mean People Can Suck It!

The link doesn't work in the phone app. What is this?

Even the phone app sucks, IMO. It's too full of stuff. I wish you could set preferences so I can weed out the band & bypass stuff. It's frustrating to get into a thread then find out it doesn't apply to me because it's a different surgery! For those who want to see everything, great. For the rest of us - overload. This change is not for the better.

    Best and worst "compliments"

Went to visit my sister last week - her MiL said to me "you look good, you've lost some weight?" My sister said "she's lost a truckload, she only has half a truck to go" B*tch.
  6. Finally had some pics taken - here's 64 lbs down, 6 months post op

    October 100 Mile Challange!

So, I'm finally back after having the flu. Went to the gym yesterday for the first time in almost 2 weeks - amazing how quickly you can lose what you've worked so hard to achieve! As a result, I'm much further behind than I had hoped to be at this point in the month, but I decided to keep going. Even if I don't hit 100, it's still more than I did last month, and there's always November to gear up for! As of yesterday, I'm at 31.7 miles and 1500 squats. Holding steady at 181 lbs (lost 2 while I was sick, so that's somethin') and 1.5 lbs from my halfway mark. Decided that I'm going to splurge on a bike as my reward. That should help me with the 100 miles!

    Fitness and sleeping

I'm still struggling with this as well; 4am seems to be my 'wake up time', but my alarm doesn't go off until 6. So basically I toss & turn until about 5:45 when I finally start to settle down, only to be woken back up by my alarm in 15 minutes. The melatonin doesn't work for me; makes me too groggy. I find if I can go to bed early then the 4am wake up doesn't affect me so negatively, but I live in a house of night owls, so going to bed early would necessitate earplugs! I'm going to have to find a solution soon - the sleep deprivation is starting to affect my memory and ability to function at work. I'm tired all the time, and the constant yawning is irritating.

    October 100 Mile Challange!

Been a slow week - had the flu, which really kicked my butt. Haven't been able to do much this week, so I'm only at 24.9 miles (I know, if I'd realized I was that close I would have kept going to get an even 25, but c'est la vie). Only able to crank out 50 squats since Monday, so as of yesterday my total is 1350. Good news is I lost 2 lbs and I'm only 1.5 from halfway, so at least that's something...
