Pysch Eval - FURIOUS!
BADB0Y replied to jennybittyboo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That sounds ludicrous to me. The only reason the insurance requires psych is to make she that you can make the changes needed and fully understand the impact before they shell out the cash. All they are doing is making sure they will get return on the investment. -
No puree, that wasn't any part of my diets. Stage 2 from my doc states: Proteins - Lean soft and moist meats (fish, tuna, poultry, or pork), low fat cottage cheese, low-fat or non-fat cheese, soft tofu, eggs or egg substitute, soft low fat casseroles with soft vegetables; Milk - Fat Free or skim, sugar free or low fat yogurt; Fruits & Vegetables - Any fruit/vegetable without seeds or hulls that have been cooked soft. Soft unsweetened canned fruits or vegetables, fresh soft fruit; Bread & Cereals - Hot cereals cooked in milk (oatmeal, grits, cream of wheat), cold Cereal (high protein) soaked in milk, toasted bread or plain soda crackers; Other - Sugar free Jello, popsicles, pudding/custard. Problem is I won't have access to ice and stuff to keep things cold all week. I will need as much that can be stored at ambient temps as possible. That's where I'm getting lost.

Stage 2 by my doctor's diet. Week 2-6 is the same.

Any recommendations for VSG physicians in San Antonio or Austin?

Are you insured or self pay? Call the doctor first, they made all of my arrangements. The only thing I was on my own for was my psych eval! -

I'm a little north, but I have a doctor and facility that is top notch in the Dallas area. Some people in my classes were required by their insurance to come to them, they are that good! Dr Colleen Kennedy, and the Methodist Dallas Weight Management Institute. Absolutely amazing people at both. And not an assembly line clinic either! -
Sorry, double posted.

March 14th Sleever check-in!
BADB0Y replied to BigFatLoser's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel pretty good once I get up an moving for the day. My left side is tight and sore when I first get out of bed or if I sit for a long time. But I think I'm doing great. Just waiting on follow up next week or new scale to arrive for weight. -
First meal at a restaurant
BADB0Y replied to cartmansnj's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I received a card too, mine also suggests senior meals in addition to the kids menu. They are usually real food scaled back a little. -
Hi! I'm in Garland, and am having my surgery on Thursday with Dr Colleen Kennedy. Her staff is amazing! I was supposed to do mine at Presby Rockwall or Baylor Plano originally, but after my experience with Methodist Dallas's Weight Loss Institute, they blew me away and I switched to them. I am on MyFitnessPal as the same name BADB0Y (the O is a zero).
