    November fitness challenge

Ok finished the month strong with 5 miles today, MTD -108 miles and 12 sessions of strength training, still having hip issues but I'm in for December when you get it started. For December's goals will go for over 100 miles walking again, going to add a yoga class at the gym, hope it will help with the flexability, hope it will help with the hip. Will continue with the strength training classes.(I'm tired already just thinking about it!)
  3. Yes, get new glasses, GG, you have such a pretty face don't hide it behind those big glasses. I loved all you pics, and Butters' pic too.! Do they! They may be big. I think I lost fat off my head too I also wonder if they are too dark now and I should get less "statement" glasses and more invisible ones?

Got in only 3 miles on Thanksgiving, but on the plus side, we went out to dinner with my son and his wife, so no left-overs to tempt me, (and the desserts they had were fabulous, good thing I could only have a bite of my hubby's desert plate!) Got in 4 more today, and did another session even though I really didn't feel like it. MTD-103 miles and 12 sessions.

    November fitness challenge

4 more miles and another ST session, MTD -92 miles and 11 sessions, I'm already over what I was doing for a month so I am pleased with that, now just have to see how much extra I can do.
  7. I'm right there with you LL, I'm shorter than you and have lost 56lbs(hoping not to find them again!) but I still look at clothes and think well, that's never going to fit. Also to me except for my face and neck, I don't look that much different. I know that I am because none of my old fat clothes will fit me anymore, and I can wear much smaller sizes, but it doesn't translate into what I see in the mirror. My nephew that I haven't seen in a while saw a new picture of me and called me up to ask if I was OK, because I have lost so much weight. So while others can see it, I still can't, maybe when I lose some more weight my head will catch up to the rest of me.

Glad to hear that the Nsaids should take care of you, and that it wasn't any more serious than that. I have degenerative disc problems in my spine, but of course I'm older than you. keep up with the PT, that helped me a lot, and keep exercising but don't over-do it , at least that is what I was told. That being said, it's much better to keep moving, it will keep you flexible.

got up earlier than usual this am, couldn't sleep so got in 5 miles, I've got hip issues too, I thought it was all the increased walking and strength training, trainer said that the strength training should help not hurt, but... was walking with a limp for a while, gonna try some of those stretches, and some trainer gave me looks kind of similar to the ones here. MTD=73.5 miles 9 sessions

Hey, I really hate strength training sessions, but I make myself go, just go try one then at least you can tell the rest of us how much you don't like them. The first one is the hardest,(actually working up the courage to go in the door of the gym was the hardest thing!), but oddly enough I usually feel pretty good the next day.

    Self Sabotage

If I'm hungry after dinner I'll have some herbal tea or decaf, no food because I know that it will bother my reflux, one or two acid attacks and you know that anything that you could eat just would not be worth it.

    2.5 Months...stall

3 weeks for me was the longest so far, but I tend to only lose 1-2 lbs a week. Don't get discouraged, just keep at it and eventually it will budge.

As Of Today, I Am A *veteran*.

Congrats LL, me too, I think we had surgery on the same day, but you're way ahead of me! Oh, well, I do everything slow just ask my trainer!
  23. Congrats to you on making your goal so quickly! I just hit 6 months, not anywhere near my goal yet but am motivated to keep going forward. My Doc is pleased with my weight loss, he doesn't expect his patients to lose most of their weight till at least the year mark. I love the sleeve because I pretty much eat the way I did prior to surgery, I am diabetic so no sugars, white flours, breads, pastas, but I am satisfied with a lot less than I used to eat. My portions now make me laugh remembering what I used to be able to put away.
