  1. I was sleeved on March 6th. Down 26 lbs and been stuck 10 days! I am so bummed.. Don't know what I am doing wrong.

I am leaving May 9th from Florida for a month long ride thru New Orleans, Natchez trace parkway, Cherohala skyway, the Dragon and up the Blue ridge & skyline drive landing in Boston end of May.. I was so looking forward to riding skinnier and buying a smaller jacket but the weight loss is totally stalled. I feel good and journal everything I eat.. calories, carbs and fats are all low. starting to get more exercise now that my belly is healed.. Hope that helps! :(

  2. I'm 4 days out. 11 pounds down. I'm not really focused on the weight right now, as I am too busy trying to stay hydrated and get this friggin gas out. I'm pooping, which is awesome. Love the sf Popsicles. Jello, not so much. And I'm taking my pain meds pretty much every 4 hours. If I don't, the gas becomes a bit too much. Why suffer if the meds take it away? The meds do, however, give me really bad dreams. Can't win for losin! Lol GO US!

The meds gave me horrible dreams too! and Im not a fan of jello either.. Good Luck! :D

  3. Yesterday I had my drain removed. So happy to be rid of that! Then I was sitting watching a little tv this afternoon when it occurred to me that I had no pain or grumbling in my gut! What a great feeling! I felt normal for a bit then back to being miss gassy ... Have I mentioned I love the person that invented Popsicles! feeling better everyday ... done 18lbs :D

Also anyone else tried Glucerna shakes? Come in great little 8 oz bottles in chocolate and vanilla. I was given Glucerna at the hospital so I searched when I got home and found them it on Amazon. Very tasty and convenient!

  4. I am Kathy. I am 46 years old and live just outside of Boston. I was layed off in September after 23 years with an electronics distributor. It was hard to say goodbye to something I have known half my life but I moved on. I am now taking everything in stride. I live with my fiance and we enjoy riding our motorcycles more than anything. Every fall we ride them down to our home in Florida and then in the spring we ride them back. Last year was the full length of the blue ridge parkway. Amazing! Going again this year just because there is so much to see on the ridge. After we retire we are planning to ride to all four corners of the US.

We have a puggle name Mugzee.. She truly is a wonderful part of my life and she fills my heart and makes me smile every day. :D

I was sleeved on 3/6/2013. I did it to save my life. Looking forward to living healthier and longer!

  5. So i just had a mini melt down crying and wondering why i did this to my body and if it was the right thing to do. I guess just feeling really emotional today and gettin gcaught up in the discomfort and all the suckieness that is the first few weeks post op. Anyone else felt this way? :(

I have also felt that way. I got out of surgery on the 6th and felt absolutely horrible and starting feeling so much regret.. What had I done to my body? I am still healing and have my moments but I know I did the right thing. It was the only option to save my life. Hope you feel better. :D

  6. Hi Everyone, I was sleeved on the 6th. Released yesterday the 9th. I had a very painful post op experience but am definitely on a healing trend now. My only issue now is sometimes I have pains in my stomach where it feels like someone is squeezing my stomach. It comes and goes a couple of times and then will go away for a few hours. I find it comes mostly after I wake up.. Anyone else have this? It's very painful. :(
