  1. Amen, sister. My old bad habits are sneaking back in now too. The sleeve is a tool, not a cure. I'm joining Weight Watchers today, to add another tool, one of weekly accountability on the scale and the weekly support meetings. Not sure about the meal plan, figure I'll stick to doc's 1200 cals including 60+ grams of protein and compare to points for a while. It'll be interesting to see if Weight Watchers helps get my brain back in gear. Also am lucky there's a strong support group here in North Dallas, so am doing more with them as well. Starting Weight 381 Current Weight 312(ish)
  2. Congrats! We're same day sleevers. Took my first 'no seat belt extender' flight two weeks ago. I have a much more to lose, but am enjoying the milestones along the way
  3. See some posts evening of March 18th. Sounds like consistency would be like cottage cheese...CHEW CHEW CHEW!
  4. So jealous...another week for me...but reminding self soft is so much better than pure liquids! Congrats sbelle3072!
  5. Look how much you've lost! Of course your energy is low. I'm at 5 weeks post-op too, have lost 51 lbs. including pre-op diet. Once I moved from liquid to soft I gained 8 and then plateaued for a week. The last few days I've been losing 1 to 2 lbs a day. Just saw my endocrinologist yesterday. She said hang in there, to expect low energy when getting 700-800 calories a day. Once off soft, and off exercise restriction I hope to have more energy. Everybody's body seems to be a little different with plateaus and rate of weight loss. It's certainly an adventure! Hang in there and don't get discouraged.
  6. Low fat, small curd cottage cheese is a great source of Protein (1/2 c = 15g)...add a diced pear half, canned with 100% juice or no sugar added Light yogurts, any flavor Baked fish
  7. I had to write down the grams of protein whenever I drank any...and do the math! Doing more danged math these days. Some people have temporary lactose intolerance, so I like your idea of mixing the powder in something you know is okay with your tummy. Mixing into Crystal Light might be another idea.
  8. Sleeve done on February 12. Very quick weight loss until I moved to soft foods last Wednesday. Since then am gaining about a pound a day. Calorie count around 800, but I expect I'm slipping up on too much salt and not enough water. This is an adventure, finally listening to my body and gaining awareness!
