Atkins shakes have been the only ones I can stomach. My nutritionist didnt have a problem with me drinking them. And they have not inhibited my weight loss at all.

@ Bufflehead....great idea! Thanks for the idea!!

@Bufflehead, have you had labs taken since you have been taking them? I just had my 3 month check up and was told I needed to take 6 of the Bariatric Vitamins a day, I was only taken 1....I had labs taken, but haven't gotten the results back. I don't like the huge horse pill that the Bariatric Vitamins come in, would love to have an alternative.

From my experience, the date that was submitted to my insurance company was not the actual date of my surgery. They had to place a date on the paperwork in order to submit. Then after the insurance company approved, I made contact with the surgeon's office and scheduled the "actual" date of the surgery. Good luck to you, I hope you get a date soon!!

I hate dreaming that I have ate too much. I wake up in a state of panic and it takes awhile to figure out if I actually did or it was a dream. Especially considering I have worked painstakingly hard NOT to cheat or eat what I am not suppose to.

Please take care of yourself, that is very serious. My husband had undiagnosed diverticulitis and when he strained he perforated his colon and almost died.

Does anyone ever fail completely ?
Nuchnuch replied to miangr's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I know that it is frustrating when you hit a stall, especially if you have diet so much, like must of us have. You feel like.."here it goes again", but your body will adjust, make sure you are following your doctor's instructions, get in your protein and water and the scale will move again! You are doing great!!! -
Track calories or just let restriction do it's job?
Nuchnuch replied to christieouchley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I find tracking not only helps me to be able to adjust where I need to get my nutrients in, but also something I can supply my nutritionist with when I have my sit downs with her. -
Normal according to what, your doctor?
-
First of all, WELCOME! Since your appointment is a little while off, have you contacted your insurance company to make sure that the things you have collected to prove your weight loss attempts will be sufficient, along with any other things you may be required to do? Then when you have your appointment you will know for sure exactly what your requirements will be. And I have lost hair, not bad, but I can tell when I wash my hair, a few pieces will come out in the wash. Good Luck!!
-
What I have found extremely helpful is to follow your doctor's instructions to a "T"...I don't know if it is that I am just scared that something bad (physically) will happen if I don't or what, but it has helped me tremendously. Good Luck!!

Awesome, good luck!!!

When was your first 'stall' and how long did it last?
Nuchnuch replied to Im14fun's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine was at week 3, lasted 2 weeks. I started making sure I brought my protein up and have strived to get close to fluid and carb intakes and I have continued to drop. -
Just checking in everyone.....I was sleeved on May 15, 2013 and from the day of surgery I have lost 32.5 pounds and have gone from a size 18 to a 14 and an XL top to a Large

I would definitely let them know what medicines you are currently taking for pain, because my husband had emergency surgery several months ago and he takes medication for back pain as well, but they were unaware of it because of the emergency and he went without for more than 10 days. I would make sure that they know so they will be able to be prepared!

I was given the okay for pretty much everything except steak and carbs.
