  1. I don't know what is going on but I haven't really lost anything in a week. I am not eating wrong, I am working out (elyptical) at least 5 times a week and I am meeting my water goal and coming real close on protien. I feel like I am retaining water!! Going to do liquids today only and see if that breaks it loose.

    Fitness and loose skin

I have been thinking about this a little as well. No plastic surgery in my future. I have some loose skin in weird places and specifically my abdominal area. I do have a 4 pack tho and will soon, I just know it have a 6 pack. I am in the gym 6 days a week, hate cardio so I leave that for the trails. I work out with HR above 145 almost always and have some killer HIIT circuits that either are total body or isolatory in fashion. My new workout friend is a younger collegiate athlete female that brings it daily so it keeps me pushing. We work out very CF/FX like for the most part. My arms are right, calves are making huge cuts along with thighs. My ONLY trouble spot will be tummy I think but it will get there. I am only 14 months post op and have lost over 160#s and gained over 25lbs muscle. My body fat % a month ago was 13.
  3. I have 8 more points MTB races to go and 3 or 4 more charity and or fun races this year.

    Lifting weights

Go into it slow and you will be fine. The change to a super high protein diet is helpful as well and not an option after surgery. I have lost over 140 lbs and gained over 20 lbs in muscle.

What I'm I going to do

I gagged the other day driving past a Taco Bell. No fast food cravings here. I know exactly how terrible my body will feel after. Eat clean!

    How do we burn carbs?

Fat Bastard said it best. "Carbs are the enemy". If you have fat you want gone then don't give your body carbs to use for energy, make it use the fat.

You live there I take it?

    Torn between 2

Thanks you two. I guess it is a good "problem" to have as either way I am exercising. Keep doing that ride. Before you know it you will be riding ALL the way home and laughing the whole way.

    Torn between 2

I have trained all winter to prepare for the MTB season and now it is here. Problem is I struggle for time as it is to get my workouts in and now I struggle to take a day to ride or to hit the gym. I love my gym routines now but need to ride my bike...

    More fun than sex!

I would do just about anything to be able to live in that area! The MOAB has been a dream for me for years.

Nice ride!! This was my morning.

    Casien protien

Are all casein proteins this bad and thick? It is like pudding!

    More fun than sex!

Nice ride. 2 hours for 5 miles? I am elite/expert MTB racer in Michigan wishing I had your terrain!! Keep the rubber side down! I always say, "when you don't think your ass can take it anymore, stand up and keep peddling!"

    Casien protien

I have. The only way I got it thin enough was turning it into a 32 oz monster that I don't want in me before bed. I will be up all night peeing.

    Help in choosing a bike...

Make sure it's what you want though. If the store isn't treating you the way you need/want go to the next one.

    Lost hope

Take all the tough love to heart. It is up to YOU not anyone else. Being fat might be easier for your boyfriend but a long cruel death for you. When kids aren't given choices they will eat when hungry. Exercise is any physical activity. Lunges, squats, push ups, on demand videos..... Stop making excuses and eat/drink protien ALL day!

    Workouts

Google kettlebell workouts, ton on there. Remember; you don't have to workout for long periods or time, you can up the resistance and work out less.

    Well? Any updates from anyone?

    Hitting the wall?

The protien shake before a workout will only help with muscle building. It will not ever help with energy. Keep drinking the protien before but plan on it to give you energy.
  20. Wow... One of the local trails is finally open and can be ridden. Such a harsh winter had us off to a late start. My first race is in 2 weeks and today was only my second ride of the year. Worry no more though. My type of gym workouts has gotten me in even better shape than I was at the end of last years season. 15 miles in under an hour. Legs felt great and all of my climbs were out of the saddle in big gear. Very happy!!

First mountainbike ride of the season.

Sometimes I do. I have a nike watch with polar strap. I usually only use it for the gym. I don't care what my HR is when I ride, I pretty much am sprinting the entire time. I am points racing this year expert/elite so I am going to be seriously challenged.

    T25

Was it shipped usps or UPS Surepost or fedex Smartpost by chance?

    Hitting the wall?

To be very clear, protien is not and never had been and will never be a source of energy. Slow it down and allow yourself more time.

Missed it by less than a minute!

Thanks everyone. It was more for fun than anything. I have done several fitness tests in the last month and have scored elite/advanced/pro in all so far. The only thing anyone needs to take from this is that any one if us can be fit and trim if we so choose, ANYONE!!
  25. Was taking a shot at a small fitness test I read in a magazine. You inverse rep dead lifts, thrusters and then do 3 burpees every minute on the minute no matter where you are at in any set and then go back to where you left off.
