    Isopure

All that stuff was terrible the first few weeks post op. now 7 weeks out and they are delicious! Love them.

    Good or bad

This isn't a "diet" this is now how you need to eat. Educate yourself and get the training of thought to be just that. If you haven't met your protien needs then you shouldn't be eating anything else. I am 7 weeks post and down 34 lbs but my biggest loss is my appearance and how clothes fit. The changes are incredible. I work out like crazy though as well, helps big time.

    Tattoos, pre-op diet

The pre op diet is based on your Drs needs only. Some do it some do not.

    burpees are evil

It is the fluid motion he mentioned. Try it. Stand go to a laying position on floor then back up to your feet to a jumping jack in one motion, don't hesitate or stop. Works a TON of muscles and is a great end to your daily work out. Even to get through 5 foray week and build yourself up from there. You will see benefits quick!

    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

I couldn't bring myself to read all the pages on this thread. I find it impossible to believe that anyone would need the sleeve who isn't/wasn't addicted to food. Thyroid is treatable WITHOUT sleeve and anyone not addicted ( odd term for dependent lol) would diet to desired weight.

    week long STALLLLLLLL! any advice?

You were sleeved in November and are thinking of "dieting"? There are thousands of stall posts on this site, it is quite shocking to be honest. Your body is ever changing after surgery until you have reached your ideal wieght and fitness level that you then want to find your balance and keep it there. That is when things could level out. Try starting some kind of exercise program, whether a walk at night or even doing the lunge challenge or squat challenge (google it). Also, I think most of us have/had some very bad habits with food. There could be one or two things you dont think are hurting you or werent at some point but are now, i.e. processed meats, flavored coffee creamers... Drink more water, log what you eat again and learn your body.
  7. I went back to my low dose of Prozak. Ask your physician...
  8. ^^ you were sleeved in march and are on a 3 week stall? The best thing anyone in a stall can do is go back to logging what you eat, drink and what kind/duration of exercise you are getting. Applying discipline is going to be crucial to getting past stalls. 3 weeks is a long stall, motivate yourself. Cut salt, up protien a s work out!! Not just cardio, wieght train as allowed.

    Protien shakes

I like them more watery. I will get some nectar tomorrow and give it a try.

    Protien shakes

Do they mix up thin? I don't like a thick protien shake.

    Eating out.

Went to "dinner" with a friend last night. Had no idea what to order so I ordered but didn't eat. Just brought it home. That was no big deal. The part that was strange was how I felt. I am 30 days post op and I felt out of place. Like I shouldn't even have been there. Anyone else have strange notions like that?

    Protien shakes

I couldn't stand protien shakes while on full liquid.now that I am on soft foods I drink them for meals and love them. Stomach takes a while to start to feel normal again.

    Does everyone

Simply put, bread and bagels have zero necessary nutritional value. Don't waste your time. They raise glucose levels and store fat.

    New Whey Liquid Protein 42g

They are a whey protein. Are you saying they are not? And if so where are your facts? From what I have experienced they work just fine. Not drinking 3 a day of course but are far better than any other liquid ISO or even LPP's liquid protien.

    New Whey Liquid Protein 42g

I use them, only to supplement some protein. I hbe used them for years. If I drank enough shakes and ate enough meat to reach my protien goals I would ingest 2000 calories a day. Don't slam it. Sip it over an hour and make sure they are cold. Nut's don't want us drinking them so we don't really on them solely. 1 a day isn't bad.

    Actual vs. Insurance Cost

Just saw my bill this weekend. 49500 just for the surgery. Then another 500 a night in hospital. Over 3k for anesthesiologist and another 2k in random stuff, X-rays and the like. Unreal. It the. Shows the adjusted down for being in network, less than half. It is all just a game. They mark it up so when they adjust down it is what they would normally charge. Gotta love the system. But ya, thank goodness for insurance.
  17. We all want it off fast but it isn't going to happen over night. 1-3 lbs a week is healthy loss. Keep going. Look at it over a lifetime, not just the immediate.
  18. Balance out your diet and go back to what you know worked. Cut carbs, increase protein and water and keep exercising. You could be retaining water so maybe some decaf coffee?

Does any one drink any soda

These types of things always make me think if you went through all this why would anyone entertain stepping back into an u healthy life style. Now is your chance. You have the ultimate tool available to you, use it. Avoid the things everyone knows are harmful to your body and can lead you down a path from which you came.

What does your daily diet consist of?

Chris, how far post op are you? Breakfast: protien shake Snack 1/2 cup or 2.5 oz of chili or cottage cheese with banana Lunch; another protien shake Snack: another 1/2 cup of something Before bed another protien shake or protien shot. I don't really get hungry at night so I don't eat if I don't have to but make sure I get my protien.
  22. Wow. It just amazes how different everyone's recovery is. What is this drainage thing everyone is talking about? Don't/didn't have one. I have 6 incisions because if some hernia work. None really hurt other than the big is in the normal fold when I bend over. Otherwise, 4 weeks post op and my incisions are just scars and no pain at all. I have been sleeping on my side and stomach since the hospital.

April 9 is my 1.5 month appt when I will hopefully get the all clear to hit the gum again! I so prefer cross fit training over traditional cardio.
