    Soup recomendations

I liked the canned Mexican tortilla soup. I strained it and drank it. I know your pain. It will go by quickly. I hardly remember it now. My diet is so easy now. More of a Paleolithic curve to it but protein, protein, protein with small amounts of cashews and almonds and fruit, melons and berries.

    Cpap blues

I couldn't live without my CPAP. Love it. Saved my life.
  4. Protein protein protein. I have a protein shake when I wake, lean meat around 2.5-3 hours later, then some fruit and a Isopure for 40 grams of protein then another 4-6 oz. of lean meat and a late snack protein shake. I get over 100 grams of protein a day, work out 5 days a week and have lost 56 lbs since being sleeved on 2-27-2013.

    Caffiene tolerances?

Ya I didn't think about that. I will read up on it. Think I might just switch to "pump" and not worry about it. Just hate to waste it.

    Caffiene tolerances?

I was a caffeine junky before surgery. I took that opportunity to get off it completely and have been good for several months. I just started supplementing my training with a pre-work out drink (black powder). I only use it in the early morning as I hit the gym at 6am. I now find myself waking up in the middle of the night wide awake and not being able to go back to sleep for several hours. Not enjoying it but love the serious pump, power and focus from this stuff!!!

    Caffiene tolerances?

It has been a thought. I was sleeved the day before you and weighed a similar weight.

    Insanity workout

Insanity is no joke. You will as hard and as fast as YOU can. You will get better. Stop before you puke or pass out and rest a minute.

How do you feel 3 months out

I am at 2.5 months and have lost 51 lbs. I can eat what I want and work out how I want. You shouldn't worry about it. Just follow the program to lessen your chances for complications.

    i just bought ISOPURE

I live on those Isopures. Get the grape or peAch mango. Pour half into a 20 ounce plus sport bottle and top off with ice and water. You will get over 40 ounces of fluids and 40 grams of protein. Took a while after surgery to stomach them. Cyclosport has some as well that are pretty good and a bit cheaper.

    STOP CALLING IT A TOOL!

All apologies but it is a tool. Look up the definition of tool. It is a replacement solution to all the diets that didn't/don't work and helps control my appetite and amount of food I am able to consume. I looked at it as a tool in deciding to get it and the exact word my surgeon and primary care physician used to describe it and educate me.

  17. wcn1970

    Weight training vs Cardio

Man you are rocking it out. Great job. I would say step up the cardio daily and maybe go with a bigger protien shake once a day, like a MetRX meal replacement shake to get a few more GOOD carbs and a few more calories on those cross fit days. Should see gains. Are you supplementing with anything else, i.e. Extend, NO Xplod or the like?

    Weight training vs Cardio

Wow. Ok... Cross fit is great but it is something you should do in concert with strength training. Single muscle group isolation will pay huge dividends in both your WOD training and cardio. Cardio should also be daily regardless of other training. Hit the gym lifting weights at least 3 days a week an then follow that with 30-40 min on the elyptical or treadmill or run there and back.

    Past the stall...

Goodness, was on a 2 week stall. Started pushing myself doing cross fit and ended up with a shin splint. But, finally over the stall and down 4 lbs in 2 days. Nice... Got to just keep focused and do what works.

    Never Ever Again

Wow that is strange how different we all are. I don't have any problems other than sugar free pudding. Runs right thru me in minutes.

    Exercise whoas

I don't know what I did but both ankles are swollen and sore and my left shin muscle closest to my foot is super tender.
  23. wcn1970

    Exercise whoas

Thanks. Ya I am taking it easy for a couple days and upping my water intake.

    How Many Carbs?

Carbs from fruit and veggies shouldn't count once you are off any special diet for healing. After that you get to play the no added sugars games and chasing your protien intake. In all honesty carbs aren't going or shouldn't be a concern if you are eating how you should. Take good advantage of these NUTs and get the diet right for you.
  25. If the sleeve doesn't help you lose wieght then I don't know what would.... You have to follow the sleeve life style though and eat protien first, then veggies. You won't have room for anything else after that and lose!
