  1. I'm only down 12 lbs since my 3/12 sleeve. I know I've messed up with a slider or two. Where is everyone else's weight loss?

    Congrats!!!
  3. Was it sutured or covered with dermabond? Either way it seems to be gaping a little. Worth getting checked out.

I'm sure it's my head but getting used to eating 1/2 cup of food when you're used to a whole plate takes some getting used to. Wouldn't have a weight problem if control was one of my strong points. How do you deal with head hunger?

Mostly tuna and chicken salad, 1/2 cup at a time, I'm a snacker at heart. Hard not to now that I can have solid food.
  6. My nutritionist told us at post op class to not concern ourselves with how much to eat but how much is everyone able to eat comfortably with each meal. I'm 3 weeks post sleeve. I have been warned about the sliders. Chips are the devil, but I feel more hungry now than when I was only on liquids.
  7. I wonder about the pouch size, I'm 2 weeks post sleeve and was sick of liquids today and wanted to chew, I ate 8 Pringles. No problem and that is my problem. Why was I able to do that without any problems?

    Post op march sleevers

I am 1 week post sleeve and remember I could barely talk from the dryness. They told me it was a side effect of the scopolamine patch they put behind my ear to help with nausea post op. If they gave you one that could be the cause. It was worth it though. Vomiting after this would have been torture. I know every Doctors program is different but how long will you be in the hospital? I was only in over night and started on liquids and walking within an hour of returning to my room post recovery. At first it sounded crazy but I felt great and still do. Hungry as hell! They say I'm not drinking enough and they are probably right. Don't want to end up in the er for dehydration. Good luck and God bless

    Eating to fast?

I am 3 days post op and as much as I would love to have something other than liquid protein, I think any dairy on the new stomach this early is a recipe for disaster. Hope your feeling better. Those gas pains in the chest and back are killer. Hang in there. I know we all made the right choice In having the sleeve.

"poncagal"]Heard from my doctors office and they got my precert from Aetna. Talk about cutting it close. I start clear liquids tomorrow. Aetna also required 3 months of supervised weight loss and a butt load of preop testing that the doctor wanted, labs, ECG, echo, stress test, mammogram and a sleep study. Hate my CPAP, hate my CPAP !!!

  12. Heard from my doctors office and I got my Aetna precert. Clear liquids starting tomorrow. They sure did cut it close. They required 3 months of supervised weight loss and a butt load of preop testing. Not sure if that was Aetna or the doctor himself. Labs, ECG, stress test, echocardiogram, sleep study and mammogram. I do feel better that all those came back ok before any surgery. Oh, except for the sleep study. Yeah, I am now the proud owner of a CPAP machine. Hate it, did I say a hated it?...

  13. My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday 3/12 and today (Friday) after 12 pm they want 5 years of my documented weight. I have called any and everyone including my eye doctor to see if they wrote down my weight. Freakin ridiculous.
