Hi I wanted to post this so the August ppl can log our success and weight lost so far.. My Surgery date 8/8/2013 highest weight was 220, surgery weight 213, current weight 195 All in all I've lost a total of 25 pounds and so happy I lost 7 pounds on my two week preop than the rest the first week post op.. I was stuck at 196-200 until yesterday and now I have lost another pound and that makes me happy to know that the scale started moving back the right direction again!! I would live to hear from other August sleevers

Extended tummy tuck is the term my cosmetic surgeon used. He said it just means that the tuck will go from one side to the other side (it's a little longer than most TT go) and that there will be more work involved during the surgery, more pulling and giving me a new belly button. I desperately need to do my arms, that's why they're going to be part of my first surgery. I have wings that hang down about 3in and are about 6-7in wide (almost to my elbow) they're very large. He said my incision for my arms will go from elbow to armpit on the underside of my arm so it won't be seen as easily. At least it's not going through the armpit into the side-boob area like some people have to get. I'd rather deal with the scars than the extra skin any day! I'm planning on getting tattoos to cover most of my scars. Tattoos sound like a good idea, I have bay arms was well, when I wave bye they also wave bye lol... I still have top wait until next year for my surgery for work reasons :, (... pear keep us posted on your progress. . When is your surgery date?

I've been looking for plastics as well. . What do you mean by extended Tummy tuck? I want to do my arms too but I'm so scared about the scars, what did your doc say about the scars? Meaning is it going to be too visible?

I've been looking into plastics myself but for next year and ice decided to do the tummy tuck plus my beat lift with implants as well but have not decided on my bat arms yet I'm so scared of the scars... what did your doctor tell you about the scars? -

Hey congrats 80 lbs it's a big deal! I would never change my decision of doing this it ha been by far the Best decision I have ever made and I'm pretty sure u feel the same. What is your goal? Do u want to hit the weight when u were a teen ir your surgeons goals?? U see I was never that thin I was always a thick girl the smallest I've been was 145 but I thought and still think I looked pretty healthy and good.. The doctor always told me I had heavy bones but I'm not sure how true that is lol

Dr. Dominick Gadaleta -
Hi guys thank u so much!! I couldn't believe it myself yesterday when I saw the scale. I try not to weight myself as much so I hadn't went to the scale in weeks and I thought I was still in a stall but to my surprise boom I'm 160. My goal weight is 145 but my surgeon will like for me to go down to 125-130.. I don't think I want to be that skinny, I want to be healthy. Very thankful to all you guys because this website was a very big part of my source and I would always come here and look at pics to encourage me to finish the process.. Hope I inspire someone like all u guys did with me!

Hey! Thank u! To be honest with you I didn't know about the plication sleeve until u just mentioned it. I wasn't given an option, it must be new? I'm not sure myself. But I got done the vertical sleeve and it's worked perfect for me! No complications and I didn't even need pain meds. Ofcourse everyone is different but keep optimistic and everything will be ok, follow instructions as your doc tells u to the T it's key point in this surgery. One thing enjoy very step of the way and don't get discouraged with the stalls everyone has them I've had two long ones but I think it's part of the process while your body readjusts to the new weight loss. Pre-op the first days will be challenging than u get used to it. My doc gave me the option to eat one salad a day the rest I had to have shakes. So I chose to have the salad with grilled chicken at night before 7 and go to sleep early since I was a night eater. Post-op the only advise is stay away from carbs, rice, bread, pasta and all that junk food as much as u can. I haven't had any since my pre-op diet I think that's like 5 months now. I wish u all the best if u have any questions u could always message me. Don't doubt yourself or your sleeve it does work!! It's not another diet it's a lifestyle and I love it!!
