Nothing terrible its not a liquid diet. I usually have a shake in the morning and one for lunch and I've been eating 2oz. Tuna with 1oz. Light mayo on a slice of toasted rye with 2 cups steamed broccoli or carrots with a cup of strawberries for desert. If I get real hungry during the day I have a Greek yogurt 0% of course. Maybe I'm just getting anxious and impatient.

I know I made the right decision to get sleeved 110%. The problem is that NO ONE in my family including my wife seems to like the idea that I am having it done. I get the "well if you can lose weight on your pre-op diet then why do you need the surgery?" My parents just keep saying that they support my decision although they think its a bad idea. I just don't know what to say anymore. I of course am going through with it and I am scheduled for the 18th of April, I just hate the looks and the comments that I get from my wife and family. I feel like some of my good friends support me more. Ugh. Oh we'll at least it felt good to vent. Thanks everyone for listening.

Thanks Laura. My wife told one of my close friends that she thinks that I am doing it to find someone else. Truth is she's perfect to me and I wouldn't want anyone else. Wish there was a magic pill to slap someone into reality sometimes lol.

You beat me by a day I get mine on the 16th. But hey at least you'll always remember ten day considering its tax day. Time to take that stomach lol good luck girl

Good for you. I don't get morphine I get Dilaudid. I take that through a IV when I have flare ups with my Crohns and it does the trick. Congrats and good luck

Holy crap my patience is shot. Went to my nutrition class today and it looks as though I will be in the next two to three weeks becoming a true sleever. Cant wait to get mt life back on track. Start my preop diet tomorow. Booyah lets go!!!!!!!

Did pre-op testing yesterday and am down to 381 lbs. woohoo

So I am scheduled for surgery on 4-16-2013 and started my preop diet a week sooner than required. Even though I was told that I can start my diet 4/1/2013 I decided that I already have accomplished a week on the diet that I might as well keep it up. Instead of having Easter dinner and candy I chose my protein shake and some air popped white corn plain instead. Feeling very proud today. Just wanted to share.

So I started this at 409 lbs. I went for Pre-op testing today and am down to 381.0....WooHoo

Ok so I am having a great dilemma. My surgery was scheduled for April 16th. I started preop diet this past Saturday. My surgeons office said I could scrap the diet until the first if I want but the longer I'm on it the better. I'm having a hard time fighting the urge to just eat what I want and then have that "last supper" perhaps at my favorite restaurant. Good idea or just man up and stick with it?

Is passover matzo ok gor preop? I dont see any fat content but I am curious becase it seems like a great crunchy snack.

Ok so I started a preop diet and have the choice of two shakes and a high protein diner or follow some examples of dinners and snacks. Question. If I am taking a shake in the morning and a shake in the afternoon then the dinner I am still feeling really hungry. Is there any fat free and still shrink my liver snacks I could try?
