Hi there I went to the seminar at the end of Feb. and was sleeved at the end of May. I had nutritionist, exercise physiologist, psych, Upper GI series. Some of my "hoops" I jumped through were surgical team mandates and not insurance. It took 2 days to be approved once submitted. Best. Decision. Ever! Good luck!

are these sounds normal?
LeahBsMommy replied to ********'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This made me laugh! I was just telling my husband last night that it sounded like I swallowed a whale. It feels like Dory is striking up a conversation in the evenings! -
Any one being sleeved on May 22?
LeahBsMommy replied to Alyjourneys's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on the 22nd also. I have been a little sore behind one incision site and still cannot lay down in bed without pain. Today my stomach is having a bit of a tantrum with grumbling and gurgling. Just one of those days I suppose. Things have been getting better everyday though -

Worrying about leaving my children
LeahBsMommy replied to Kristina J.'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am beyond "teared up". I am bawling like a baby! I think this is a common feeling, or at least I hope it is. I feel the same worry -
Let's get to know each other, shall we?

Hi new friends! I am Jenn and also have a similar story. I have been overweight since I was 6 years old. I don't remember what it feels like to be "normal" weight. This is my normal. I am 5'6" and am chasing surgery at close to my highest weight ever. I am 301 right now (highest was 326). I am 32 years old and have no comorbidities...yet. I should be able to submit to insurance the last week in May and they have a 24-48 hour approval time. Aiming for the end of May. I am a teacher, so much before late May is difficult. Right now I am playing phone tag with the psychologist that works with my surgeon. Hopefully I'll get my 2 appointments set up soon! I can't wait!!!! -

I am also in the Greensboro area. I do not have a date yet (June?) but will be sleeved by Dr. McNatt at Wake Forest once all hoops have been jumped through. -
Submitted to BCBSNC yesterday . . .
LeahBsMommy replied to Carolina-Girl's topic in Insurance & Financing
That is great! I am BCBSNC and am getting all of my appointments in. I am hoping to submit in May. I am with Dr. McNatt at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. I am glad to see of one "going before me" with the same ins. company. Good luck!
