So I'm at work and this girl that weighs 90 pounds with wet clothes on says in a fatigued tone, "omg I was dancing all day at a concert in the park yesterday and I must have lost 10 pounds"....OH SHUT THE _____ UP. I gained 4 pounds since the end of may on a low calorie low carb diet! In addition to aerobics and strength training 3x/ week. UGH, granted I lost 31 pounds on my supervised diet but I can't stand gaining gaining gaining. I cannot wait to get sleeved. Everything in and waiting on approval from HIP. Just need to vent :-/

Lol....I don't know why but it seems like people who shed the weight forget about that they still have a weight problem and nominate themselves as Queen Skinny B....like this one chick I know on Facebook talking about some bullshit a$s juice cleanse that she know very well had nothing to do with her weight loss (she has bypass a little more > a year ago) but yet she's flashing her before and after pics without mentioning the bypass! And now she's some sort of self proclaimed fitness expert lmao The sad part is she's not skinny but she think she is...granted she's smaller but not skinny by definition. 5'5 and 180 something ain't skinny...

Yup, me!! B-) I tried to call my coordinator to find out what's going on, and of course I didn't reach her...it's been weeks since I heard anything and I'm growing impatient. So being who I am, I called my insurance company. BAMMM, approved!! Lol I will be stalking the coordinator today for a date!

You know this is the same exact thing that happened to me....same thing. I called another place and told them MY INSURANCE IS READY TO PAY FOR MY SURGERY, I FULL FILLED ALL THEIR REQUIREMENTS AND THEY HAVE APPROVED THE PROCEDURE. I would like one of your doctors to get this money since the people that I started the process with seems too busy to get this money!! The young lady on the phone Jessica said wow ok, never had this happened b4, let me speak to the office manager. I held on for about 4mins, she came back and said ok you're good to go, come meet the surgeon next week and we'll schedule you for August 7th. I called my original hospital and told them to fax all my files to xyz's office because MY COORDINATOR IS TOO BUSY AND IM TOO BUSY TOO. The woman said hold on, the coordinator picked up the line and said someone canceled and she can get me in August 14th. Less than 20 mins ago she wanted to schedule me for the end of September..... The place I was going to change to is more than an hour from me, but I knew they wouldn't let $50-60k go, that'll be just plain stupid!

How does the insurance company know that the band isn't malfunctioning....that's what I would ask

You're starting early? I Sooo wouldn't do that if I were you. Remember we have to do liquid after surgery too. You don't want to bored with it.

Got muh date :-) August 14th After much calling.... They initially told me September, I hung up call another doctor who could do it on August 7th, I called my original doctors office back and asked them to fax my file to dr angstadt's office and BAMMM they could get me a sooner date all of a sudden....smh Anyway August 14th it is :-D

I've borrowed from my 401k before...they take money from your check to pay it back, it's easy, within 1 week I had a check in hand. I remember $205 (I think) use to come out of my check to go into the 401k account but when I had the loan the $205 instead of going into the 401k went towards the loan so I didn't "feel it" as much. There's no tax on the amount borrowed if you use it for medical reasons (in ny) anyway and it's like you're paying yourself back!

I bought my significant other to st. Luke's hospital at 5:30am to be sleeved. Surgery was scheduled for 7:30am and she was wheeled in like 7:15 or so. The doctor said the surgery would take 2-3 hours. I just got to see her. The look on her face made my stomach sink. She was in so much pain. Like tons. I feel so bad! As she was waking up from anesthesia she had an allergic reaction to the narcotics and they had to give another med to reverse the one that she was allergic to. So she felt everything as she was waking up. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I feel really really horrible. She was crying before surgery and I told her everything will be ok. It's a breeze based on what I read on here. I haven't had my surgery yet but plan on doing so next month and I'm scared, like really scared. Plus she said her Chest felt right and gas pains are really bad. I'm feel like I'm going to throw up thinking about how she must feel. Did anyone have any similar experiences? How'd you make out. I really need to here from post-op people right now.
