Depends on your insurance. You should starting going to your Primary care doctor once per month now. Most insurance companies either recommend a 3 month or 6 month supervised diet. If you start now and only need 3 months, you'd be done with that before you even start :-) if you need 6, you'd be done in January! If you wait until nov to start everything, you're looking at April or May depending on your surgeons schedule which I'm guessing is packed if you have to wait til November for a consult! My girlfriend did everything before even seeing the surgeon, sleep study and pulminary clearance, nutritionist visits, etc and had surgery about 2 months after the consult... Good luck

Are you chewing properly? My partner's nutritionist said they say purée everything because most people cannot chew everything to an applesauce like consistency. I don't know about that rice though....that sounds like pushing it....it takes approximately 6 weeks for your stomach to heal.

Wow, when I went into GNC, they tried to sell us everything lol, the clerk even pulled out a blender and was whipping stuff up for us to try.

I'm on my pre-op liquid diet day 1 of 14 and I'm supposed to get 1200 calories in I've been drinking all day and got less than 500 calories in. I'm not hungry really, have done liquid diets here and there b4 but never counted calories. How am I suppose to work this thing?!?!

As many as I want just not more than 1200 calories, the glucerna is 180 cals ea.... I don't drink juice or soda so I have to drink caseloads of these things.

Pure protein or premier isn't an option on the list they gave me, guess I just gotta drink more of everything :-/

I'm 8/14 too, starting my liquid diet tomorrow and today I just want to go crazy with food but I can't because I get scared thinking of everything I want to eat lol.
