I'm having a hard time getting the link from my phone app. Lol. Go to YouTube and search: Lauren Freeman VSG.

My doc said it was because I still have my gallbladder. He wants to make sure it's fine before the surgery. If it's making stones then it will be taken out as well.
-
That's awesome! Congrats!

LOL I've been making videos and putting them on YouTube since I had the idea to do this surgery. I figured that everyone elses YouTube videos have helped me so much to make my decision and see what's to come, that I could do the same for others as well.

June 10th! Had my Upper Endoscopy a few days ago, my ultrasound is Monday, Pre-Op blood work & last surgeon visit on the 4th then it's surgery time!!!

Oh yeah, the waiting will kill you. LOL. It looks like you shouldn't have any problems this go round. Insurance makes everything hard.

Think it's time to run to the nearest 24hr store for a Fleets to use now and Mirilax to keep it from happening again. Add as much Fiber as you can to your diet. Good luck!

Carbs too! I know your brain needs carbs to keep functioning, but how much per day should be aimed for???

I've been soda free for about two months now. I went from drinking several 42 oz cups a day to a few bottles to nothing. A friend told me to try taking organic Green Tea pills every time the cravings came. The bottle told me to only take two a day the pills seemed to last that long and WORKED! I still had to go through withdrawal, but at least as long as I took a pill twice a day, I did not have to deal with the cravings too. After a week or so of withdrawal I decided to try and not take the pills as well, and have not really had any cravings for it since. I gave up ALL caffeine or carbonated liquid. I still have occasional chocolate, and that might have some caffeine in it, but not enough to effect me it seems. I'm working on sugar now. My surgery is June 10th, so I have a few weeks left to get there. Good luck!

Congrats!!! I will be right there with you June 10th. Keep us all up to date on your progress.

If you're taking other pills, I don't see why you CAN'T take your Vitamins in pill form too. I take chew-able because I dislike swallowing pills, half the time they feel like they get stuck and I throw them back up. (And I am not even sleeved yet!) Ask your doc for the best advise. Good luck!

I'm told the first month is the worst, but it get's better and most seem to come to love their sleeve. You just have to get through that horrible beginning. Good luck! -
