I have the opposite reaction to stress. I will completely miss my period for the month when under the amount of stress I know I will be having the month of my surgery. I am kind of counting on that. LOL! It will be fine. I'm sure the nurses see this all the time and they are all fully trained to wipe if needed. If they are good, it will be very quick. (I used to be a nurse aide.)

It seems to take forever for me to heal but three months is a bit long. I agree, talk to your doctor. Better safe then sorry.

My doctor does not want us to have shakes at all. LOL! I'm a vegetarian, I may need to drink the shakes secretly. Every doc is different.

You need a passport. You didn't used to, but you do now.

I projectile vomit, so no matter if my head is IN the freaking toilet or over the tub or wherever, it's going EVERYWHERE! So no, no to vomiting. Thanks for the advise of eating to soon, even so long AFTER your surgery!

I'm not really telling a lot of people. I have a three friends who are all big as well, and they know because they are my support system. I'll tell my parents and brothers when I am done jumping through insurance hoops and have a surgery date. That's it, right now my plan is to say nutritionist, diet and exercise. But I have a big mouth so I am not sure how long that will work. Not even sure I am going to mention having surgery. Will be taking two weeks off. I have a very physical job so I might have to get a doc note to put me on lite duty for a little while. So he might find out there was a stomach surgery. Now there may be a case by case basis after my weight is lost. For people I see struggling as well, I will tell my big secret too.

Banded? Not sure about the Band. But I think you know what to do. Try and try again. Can you spice up what you already have to suit your flavor need? Maybe a mix of two teas? Good luck!

I would take a Benadyl and can my doc in the morning. Maybe some anti itch cream around the site (Not directly on it.)

I'm told to drink a lot of water and keep walking around. That IV fluid weight will go away quick. Good luck!

It seems that most surgeons or hospitals that do WLS has free support groups you can go to once or twice a month. I know Houston Northwest Medical Center on 1960 has them once a month.

I agree, find out what can be paid with your dad's insurance. The less out of pocket the better. There are WLS finance plans out there and a LOT of great doctors here. Good luck!

My nutritionist is Emily Banes at Houston Northwest Medical Center on 1960. She is really good! Give her a try.

I have horrible acid reflux and my doctor just said I would need to take a acid reducer after because it will be worse at first.

That's horrible! You would think that would be considered almost an emergency. Hope they speed things up a bit for you! Good luck!
