I am on day four of my pre-op diet, and my surgery is on Monday! I've been drinking water non-stop! Every now and then, I'll switch it up to some water down Powerade. As far as protein, I ordered the Nature's Best Vanilla Cream Extreme Smoothies from www.vitacost.com. 35 grams of Protein per 11 oz can, and only six carbs! Tastes SO great! Doesn't have that yucky aftertaste like other protein shakes. I've been drinking two of those a days. I sometimes mix half of the EAS Advantage Strawberry Low Carb Protein flavor with this just to mix it up. I've even mixed in a small spoonful of peanut butter as well! I've also been drinking plenty of hot tea! Vanilla Chai Tea, Bavarian Wild Berry Tea, and decaf tea. Also have had my share of chicken AND beef broth. Also had some watered down Tomato soup. It hasn't been easy by all means, but I've gotten over the hump as far as cravings and such. I've lost 10 pounds since starting this so far! Trust me, it will be worth it! Just gotta keep pushing!

FIVE MORE DAYS!!!!

Hi! I started my weight loss journey on November 28, 2012, and my Gastric sleeve surgery is coming up on March 18th! I start my High Protein/Low Carbohydrate Pre-Surgical liquid Diet on Monday March 11, and thought I've done my research on Protein shakes, any suggestions to best ones would be GREAT! March 18, 2013 Gonna be the greatest day of my life!!!

Height: 5'3 My highest weight: 350 lbs. (November 28, 2012) Weight as of beginning of March 2013: 325 lbs. Pre-Op Liquid Diet begins on March 11, 2013. Surgery Date: March 11, 2013 Currently wearing size 28 jeans, but all of them are fitting VERY loosely. Tops: Size 22/24, XL-2X shirts depending on the make. Looking forward to what my results will be post-op. Gonna work hard at this!

I'm Jermiria. Most of my friends know me as Laidee Jae or Jamocha. Sooooo many more nicknames. Ha! I'm 30, single with no children! Born & raised AND living in Alabama. I'm currently an Event Specialist for a GA Based Conferencing Company. In my spare time, I love to travel different concert shows and venues. HUGE lover of music. Doesn't matter the genre. I listen to it all! I have a good amount of friends that are in various bands throughout the country, and I do what I can to support them. I'm on a lot of their street teams, and I promote about them and their shows on my Facebook page. I also take photos at their shows and post them on my page as well. Photography started out as a hobby, but it is turning into my passion. I hope to make a career out of it in the future.

The straw that REALLY broke the camel's back for me came back in November 2012. My uncle had a life threatening heart attack. Triple Bypass. If he had not made it to the hospital when he did, he would have died. THAT'S what did it for me. I was 29 at the time and approaching 30 (just turned 30 on February 17th), and I made a vow to myself that I did not want to go through the same health problems in my 30s that I've been through nearly my whole life. Been obesed for at least 23 years of my life. Have a family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart problems. Was diagnosed with osteoarthritis at the age of 27. I had held off making this change in my life and have tried so many diets that didn't work because I was doing it for all of the wrong reasons! That's when I realized that I owed it to MYSELF to be the healthiest woman that I can be! My surgery is on March 18th, and I am EXCITED! My new life has begun, and the best is yet to come!
