I am on my 6th day of the preop diet and have lost about 11lbs. I'm on straight liquid protien shakes. -
What a some must have things for the week following surgery!

Thanks everyone! Called insurance again and they said it is still in medical review. It would be easier if I had a definite answer! Keeping my fingers crossed! Should know tomorrow!

Today is day one of my preop diet for my 5/22 surgery (which hasn't been approved yet). I am starving and I am so upset because this could possibly be for no reason! Ugh!

After all of the doctors appts., tests, classes, etc. this is by far the hardest step so far! Just watching my phone like a crazy lady!

I am in the same boat. Submitted last Wednesday. I called insurance to make sure they have it and they said yes and I would know within 5 days! -

Approval. My date has been set for awhile now May 22nd. I am starting my preop diet tomorrow. My doc seems confident I will get an approval but I won't believe it till I hear it from insurance! -
Any recommendations? I am thinking I want to start out with liquid not chewable but any advice would be great!

Today I will finish my last NUT appointment and my coordinator will submit to insurance! My nerves are insane! I actually have butterflies in my stomach! Surgery scheduled for 5/22 hopefully we have an answer (an yes) by then!

I have a 5/23 surgery date but they won't submit to insurance until my last nut appointment Wednesday. I am feeling so emotional and stressed. Not sure if it is the thought of getting denied, the worry of the surgery itself, my crazy kids, my friend (aunt flo) visiting this week or what but I am freaking out! Anyone else deal with this?

I keep having this dream that after surgery I find out I have cancer in what is left of my stomach and thy have to remove the rest. I wonder if that is even possible. I will have to look it up. Am I the only one that has dreams about things like this?
