I had a hard time coming out if the anesthesia. I was totally out of it the entire time in the hospital. I felt so uncomfortable and being a control freak didn't go well. I expected to get right up and walk. I took 2 super short walks and could barely get out of bed. I was allowed nothing until the next morning after making sure I didn't have a leak. Then I had to drink about 4ozs of water so I could be discharged. I wish I would have laid off the morphine button a little.

I will wake up coughing a few times a night. It hurts so bad and my anxiety over coughing may be even worse than the pain itself. Wondering if this is normal, maybe getting stuff out from surgery.

I get the liquid and it didn't go well today are the chewable better?

Gas pains. I have has them pretty bad but everyday is better. Sleeved 5/22

They gave me a powder mix to mix with 15 ml of water and I can't get past the taste. These gas pains are a killer but they won't go away. Any tips? Also the pain meds before bed to help me sleep. Can't get them down either. 3 days post op here.

My back has been killing me from the hospital bed, gas and not being able to get comfy once I got home.

All I could find that are sugar free are the Popcicles brand fruit or tropical. I feel Like they give me indigestion.

I was sleeved the 22nd and just woke up from a small nap for the first time feeling pretty good. Hoping its a trend I have been feeling horrible!

I just vomited a small amount and now don't want to drink anymore. I am giving it an hour. I am 3 days post op and had about 16ozs of Liquids today.

Both times I vomited (the first time right after my leak test) it was bloody with mucus. I hate not being in control it is making me insane!

Not as good as you but I am thinking maybe I am a wimp! Lol! My surgery was Wednesday and I am whining about the gas pains lie it is my job!

I have a 3 and 5 year old and am 3 days post op. luckily he is off all next week because the thought of taking care of the kids right now by myself scares me!

I got nexium that dissolves in 15 ml of water and I can't stomach it. What do you suggest? Looking for something that you can dissolve under your tongue.

What did you do for gas besides walk? I'm not sure what I'm feeling. It happens as soon as I drink.

That makes me feel better because right now I am feeling like I made a big mistake.

I am day 2 today too and I feel just awful! I can't even stay awake!

I bought the low sodium in a box and it was not edible. I am on clear liquids. Is the broth off of a can of chicken noodle ok?

I am on preop. Tomorrow is my surgery. I didn't think I could have the protein powder.

I have been on shakes for 7 days and today clears and it is killing me! I am so hungry and weak. I guess the shakes filled me up but this is the worst. I need to stay strong! I want to just sleep the day away. Anyone else feel like this?

So I have been on the pre op diet for 6 days and only #2'd once and it was a small amount. Should I take a laxative? Is this normal?
