5 days post op and worried-feeling horrible.
Newme75 replied to KimmieMarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the same experience. I thought I was feeling better and on day 5 thought I had turned the good corner. But the next day felt horrible. Trust me it gets better! I am 20 days out today I feel good. Only a little bit of sorness in the incision area (healing). Take it one day and one step at a time. Drink Drink and Walk walk Gas X did wonders for me. -
Ugh protein is hard to do
Newme75 replied to bringiton's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Isopure drinks will kill two birds with one SIP lol. 40 grams of protein in one bottle and it counts toward your liquid. It is not a shake almost like a Powerade type drink. -
THe pain when you swallow will subside. I still feel it a little bit day 6 but not too bad. I do have gas still but no where near what it was. I have to focus on sip sip sipping I am not getting enough liquid. I did eat about 4 ounces of greek yogurt this morning. It does get better everyday.

4 days post op-2 quesitons
Newme75 replied to Ladydawg2009's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had pain in the middle of my chest and in my back and shoulders. I was told the pain in my chest was a stomach spasm take your meds. The back and shoulder pain is most likely gas walking helps a whole lot. The dimple I am not sure about. -
I had mine a day before you ladies. March 7th. Day 5 for me is today and it has been the turning point. I feel really good. Gas pains in my back and shoulders have subsided to a minimum. I think I want to try so some creamy soup a little later. I was feeling like a knot in my chest everytime I swallowed - between my breast bone and that has gone too. So I am getting in way more liquids.

I am so glad to see someone else had the blurry vision. I have never experienced that before. I googled and found it was a side effect. I too am a low BMI and was worried about insurance approval but I had two other issues - Pre-diabetes and sleep apena. -
I am having the same thoughts, my surgery is on Thursday. I am praying for peace and calm for you and me too.
