See "green for life". raw food recipes will meet most of the requests here - many are pureed and are focused on a non-animal source of protein. most are without artificial sweeteners too (hate those). they will make your skin super soft and healthy too...

well, i took before pictures, measurements and blood pressure for my journal. thought i better do it now in hopes of losing some pounds before the surgery. had a strawberry chike shake this morning - not too bad... ordered special k K2O Water from amazon, found chewable Vitamins i like with Biotin to prevent hair loss. i now have this fear that something will happen with the scheduling/pre-op lab work and i'll be delayed - paranoia setting in...

My Dr. doesn't have a target weight - he wants me to eat a low fat/carb high protein so my liver will shrink so it will be easier to do the surgery. Also so I can find out what kind of high protein foods I like best (types of shakes, etc.). I think its weird to make people hit a target weight - if we could do that we wouldn't need the surgery, right?

count me in too! i have my surgery on the 18th in louisiana. i am day 2 pre-op diet and am nauseated - could it be the 90 grams of protein so far today?!!

Too funny, wanna switch? I don't like the powders. The best I've found are the pre mixed ones at Sam's club called "premier protein"-not great, but tolerable. I just hate the artificial sweetener taste.

My surgery date is 3/18. My instructions are liquids only for last 48 hours. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before.

I'm scheduled for surgery in two weeks in Louisiana with Dr. Treen. I'm paying it all myself. All in including complication insurance is $14,200. I'm too scared to go to mexico. My husband had it here a year ago and did great! 100lbs
