I had surgery April 29th. I'm down 53 lbs which I a beyond excited about. However I am hot all of the time regardless of what I am doing. Has anyone else had this issue or have any ideas as to why I am feeling this way? :-/

If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it! I am officially out of all the work clothes I have. I work in a cancer center and am in need of size 22,20, 2x, 1x clothes. My feet have also shrunk! Huge eye opener as to how much fluid I was retaining. It feels wonderful to put on a pair of pants that users make me miserable and have them be too big! I am going to check goodwill this weekend, I almost always miss the good stuff! have you had surgery yet?

I had surgery April 29 and as pf a week after surgery I had lost 25 lbs. I don't have a scale and try to save it for my doctors visits. Doing pretty well but have found the hotter it is outside the more I crave fluids and less I want to eat. Not sure what to do :-/

I was never big on fruit before surgery..... However as of yesterday I am 3 weeks post op and craving all kinds of fruit. Mostly strawberries, oranges, and grapes....anyone else experience this? I am about to go crazy

When I eat and drink I sometimes get air bubbles as have to make myself belch. Does anyone else experience this? Am I taking too large of bites? I eat with a toddler spoon. Am I doing something wrong?

Same here! I was sleeved April 29th. I thought maybe I'm eating or drinking too fast

Has anyone found they've had an easier time with slightly bigger drinks the farther post op they are?

It may sound funny but not beig able to drink as I did before surgery was one of the things I was nervous about, and bummed about to be honest. Especially on those hot summer days I was bummed to think I may not be able to quench my thirst. Hopefully I will be as lucky as you are and be able to drink as I did before surgery.

I guess I should've made that more clear. I was curious about both but more interested in the size of the drink you take. At first I could hardly take small drinks without getting an air bubble and belching. However now that I am three weeks post op I am finding its easier to take a bigger drink without belching.

I am scheduled for sleeping on Monday! I cannot believe how fast time has gone by! I am very excited yet nervous at the same time. Can anyone share things they are or were nervous about?

Hey everyone I had my first post op appointment yesterday. My surgery was Monday April 29 and in three weeks I've lost 25 lbs. I'm beyond excited and feeling motivated! My nurse practitioner thought my idea of not having a scale at home was great. Does anyone else just wait until they are weighed at the doctors office?

Sorry ladies I was on a pre op diet for two weeks then had surgery on the 29th lol so including the pre op diet and one week since surgery I've lost 25 lbs.

Lol I need to find something to do as well. I never realized how much revolved around or included eating! I too had the discomfort you're speaking of and I had to start taking very small drinks and found that it helped. If I take too big of a drink I get a lot of pressure and end up belching :-/

I think the hardest part for me was one particular incision that was causing so much pain! It's finally worn down. Was the experience better or worse than you ladies thought it would be?

Thanks for such positive reminders. I was sleeved awake ago today and am already finding myself impatient regarding how much weight I am losing. I think the hardest part for me is getting enough water. I am on the liquid diet for another week and am growing sick of cream of wheat/malt o meal/cream of chicken soup etc. so this is just what I needed to hear.

Anyone experiencing allergies and a stuffy nose before surgery? I'm worried this will delay my surgery which is scheduled for tomorrow. -anxious

Wow you took the post right out of my mouth! I have surgery this coming Monday and am having problems with my allergies and a somewhat dry scratchy throat. I'm hoping the dry scratchy throat is due to the dry air in my apartment because drinking Water almost always provides relief. If I blow my nose it's totally clear if anything comes out of it at all. I have worried too about surgery, for its pure allergies. I'm hoping there's some sort of allergy medicine I can take. My son is almost three and I am also hoping to set a healthy expletive for him. Height 5'5" weight before pre op diet 328. Has anyone else had allergy/throat issues before surgery? What was your experience?

I agree! Loose skin and loss of hair worries me as we'll. my doctor said it would be okay to take biotin after surgery which is used to promote hair and nail growth. I have fine hair anyways but luckily I have a best friend that's a beautician so hopefully between her and the biotin something will work out. I am really excited for the future which is a new feeling to me. Can't wait to see how you ladies do
