  1. Yay! Why is it- we all seem to be down to around 5ish lbs lost a month now-- anyone able to still get 10 lbs or more a month-- ideas thoughts and suggestions appreciated I think everyone is different in the way we lose weight. I think for the most part it becomes more gradual as you get closer to your goal weight. Congrats to everyone! I am always excited to read everyone's progress. As for myself. I reached my goal weight in August. I wanted to weigh 130 but now I am 106. I lost another two pounds last week. I have been eating every two hours. In small portions of course but it seems like the more I eat the more I lose. Its weird to hear people calling me skinny. Before surgery, I was at a size 14/16 pants. Now my size 3's are too big.
  2. Hi all! I haven't been here in a while (I guess since I reached my goal weight), but I missed hearing everyone's stories and updates. As for me, my original goal was to be at 130. My weight on surgery day was 183lbs, however I am now at 109. I keep losing weight and I am not sure if its something to worry about. I don't want to get super skinny. I am 5;2"....When I was in high school I weighed 108. I am 1lb away from my high school weight. Yikes! I'm worried about the sagging skin on my thighs. Everywhere else is ok. I had surgery Feb 28, 2013. On my surgery aniversary I am planning on getting breast implants, brazilian butt lift and a thigh lift.

I haven't logged in in over 4 weeks because I stopped losing weight and I stopped weighing myself since I reached my 130lb goal 6 weeks ago. I created a new goal of 120. I am now 125. Losing weight very slowly but I am trying to add more workouts. I love it when people don't even recognize me. I feel like I have a new lease on life.

Sleeved 2/28/13 Pre-Op weight 183 (No pre-op diet) I reached my goal weight of 130 this weekend!!! I am so excited. It is such a huge milestone. I am 5'2 1/2 I feel like I can still lose some more therefore I've set a new goal weight of 120. I don't want to be anything under 120 because I am curvy and anything under 120 will make me look too thin.
  5. I am 15 weeks post op and I barely eat anything. I get tired just walking around the grocery store and I think it's because I don't eat much. I have been going to the gym and trying to get in some exercise but I get exhausted very easily....Is this happening to anyone else?

    Old habits ....

Everytime I go to a restaurant I order a meal. I can never eat even 1/8 of the meal. I'm learning to order from the kids menu but even then, I still can only eat a little bit.
  7. 5'2 1/2" Weight day of surgery: 183 (I didn't do the post op diet) Surgery date: 2/28/13 Current Weight: 138 I have had a little bit of hair loss but then again, I have always had thin hair. I have been excercising since 6 weeks after my surgery date. I feel GREAT. I have annoyed my family by telling them my weight every time my weight goes down. It's so exciting I want to tell every stranger I see out in the street. I have to admit, I haven't followed a specific diet. Whatever i want, I eat although it is just a bite or two. I enjoy reading everyones progress. Congrats to everyone!
  8. My now ex husband cheating on me. She was thinner and in great shape. I was too at the time I met him but the problems between he and I made me depressed and I gained a ton of weight. Along with the weight came Acne which I never had before and my knees started to hurt. I realized I needed to get back to being the attractive me for me. I left him, had the surgery and now I am working out like I did before I met him. I am now dating a pro athlete who constantly tells me how amazing my body is and how beautiful I am. I am no longer insecure and I am glad I left my ex husband. I have a new life. P.S. I was only 183 at my biggest but that was enough for me.
  9. I have lost 75% of my excess weight. I am still losing an average of 3 lbs per week. At that rate, I should reach 100% by mid July. I had my surgery on 2/28/13.
  10. I can no longer tolerate Ice Cream. I get sick when I have tried to eat it. Baskin Robbins was one of my favorite places and now even thinking about it, makes me sick. Bread is another thing I cannot tolerate. It gets me full way too fast and I feel bloated. I stick to chicken where I can get protein. Oh and chocolate candies was one of my vices. I can honestly say I am now a recovering chocoholic.

I put on my size 11 jeans today. I was a size 14 before. It's only 3 sizes down but I've always had big hips and a big butt so I think that even at my target weight of 125, the smallest I will end up at will be a size 8 which is what I wore in high school and I weighed 108.

Unfortunately, I can't buy clothes right now because I don't know where I will end up weight wise. I'm 15lbs from reaching my goal weight.

You have actually lost 7lbs more than I have. I was sleeved on 2/28/13. Stalls are normal and happen to us all. It's just your body making sure your weight loss is gradual. If you average your weight loss, you are on your 14th week. That is 3.35lbs per week. Not bad at all.

I am very excited. I feel like i've gotten my life back. Not only has my weight loss given me more confidence in myself, oddly enough I created a new goal of saving money. I know, I know, I know those two things seem to not have anything in common but when I was bigger, I spent a lot on fast food and went out with friends and family to constantly have dinner. Now, I don't find it too fun going out to eat so I go to the park with my 9 year old son and we walk or jog all while saving money. I looked at my bank account and realized that I was spending an average of $610.00 on restaurants per month and that doesn't include groceries! So now I have made it a goal to put the money I would have been spending on food into my savings account. I am amazed at how fast it adds up. My kids are no longer allowed to ask for Mcdonalds etc. I made home made cooked meals for them everyday and I only buy what I need on that day rather than filling up a cart food of groceries. I come to this forum because I love to hear everyone's stories. I get excited when I hear someone is about to go into surgery. Even if I don't them personally, I feel like I do. We all have something in common and can relate.
